That is complete nonsense. You can just wait a little bit and it'll show up without any tricks.

Do they appear in the purchased tab automatically or do you have to look for updates?

Thanks

App store just let me upgrade my iWork that I did not install through the app store originally.

Is anyone else having trouble with multiple Apple IDs in Mavericks.

My wife accidentally bought Pages on her ID (instead of mine where the rest of iWork is). I want to update Pages on my 2012 Macbook air, but the MAS gets stuck on the spinny loading wheel every time I try to log in to her ID.

I tried making a test account and couldn't log in with either of our IDs.

Anyone else?

Ok finally got iWork on my mac, now just wish I could get the iOS versions lol

If you have a friend that bought a new ios device, you can get the iWork apps for ios for free. Just logout of your Apple ID in the App Store. Log in with your friends credentials. Download the iWork apps. Log out when apps finish installing. Log back in with your Apple ID. You now have iWork for ios.

Anyone know where to get the old "Pages" icon, new one looks like trash IMO. I can't seem to find a png icon that works appropriately, and the ones I do find have a white background. I want the real one.

having trouble upgrading dvd version of iWork? here's how I upgraded mine.

I was having trouble with with 2011 Mac Mini and iWork I bought on DVD & the preinstalled iLife not updating.

Here's how I got it to update in through the app store.

Open App Store on your Mac if they don't show as an available update in the update tab and are not in your Purchases tab either, go to the Featured tab & click Account under Quick Links, enter your password when prompted, & click Reset all warning for buying and downloading at the bottom of this page, & click Done.

Check your updates tab & iWork & iLife updates should now appear, at least this is how I got it to work on my 2011 Mac Mini.
