UPS Hold For Pickup

Just woke up early and read through some posts and finally saw mine got arrival scan at ups cc I chose. But I also planned to go to Apple Store in opposite direction just for fun since I never go there on launch day.

Mine has fallen off the planet apparently.

Yeah, I’m not sure what’s going on either. Wherever mine went, if left @ 7:50pm. There is nowhere in Seattle or the surrounding area that takes 7 hours to get to / from. Hoping it’s just a tracking system error.

I think this has been asked already but basically my name isn't on the package. And the address on the package( my apt) isn't on my license. Will a utility bill do for pick up?

I was able to cancel my hold for pickup late last night and now have a "destination scan" so I thnk it worked?

I think the consensus is that something like that should work but we aren't 100% sure. I think it'll depend on the person working the counter at the time of your pickup. Looks like a majority of people with non-matching info seem to be just fine though

I called UPS about my hold request yesterday—the CSR confirmed that it would be held after arrival here, though the tracking shows that it hasn't reached the facility yet. I'm hoping that I can pick it up this morning rather than waiting until I'm on my way home. She did say that a "government-isssued ID" is required, though UPS personnel may have some latitude in that regard.

Mine notice also says “Destination Scan” and that it is at Doraville, GA CC and has not yet updated to “Ready for Pick up” either.

Maybe it’s because Doraville is a busier CC hub for all of Atlanta or maybe they just don’t want people to show up before they open at 8 am?

I too called yesterday and the UPS phone rep confirmed it would be held for pickup.

I guess we’ll just have to wait until it updates to Ready for Pickup.

Maybe I’ll see you there if there’s a line. Hope it all goes well for us both and everyone on the thread!

It doesn’t happen instantly. Sometimes, it won’t be marked as Held For Pickup until after they open, or just before they open. I do this every single year.

Indeed. Mine finally received the destination scan. It’s 4:30am local, and they open in 4 hours. I expect it will change within or close to that time frame. Getting so close!

Lucky you! Mine just switched to ready for pickup and I have 3 1/2 hours to go!

At my local CC right now and so far 4 people for package pickups, all iPhones. They are still pulling packages but said they should be up here shortly!

To add to the craziness, it’s raining / snowing in Seattle! With lightning. What a weird day!

UPS delivered it to a different CC from the one I picked. And they don’t open until 430pm, so now I gotta wait all day wahhh.
