No read here. I am guessing you ordered from your cell provider and not apple. If the tracking number you enter before looking at the "iPhone delivery options" is from apple you don't get the note about the 20th.

UPS My Choice Held for Pick Up on 9/19

remember this time around there will be two lines...at one point it is one line if you are there before the store opens. I plan on getting there early but after the store is open. no need to be there before the store is open if I have a guaranteed phone with my name on it in the back.
everyone is different for some people need to get to work. I can be there at 8:30-9 and be in and out in about an hour.
I was finally able to change for will call but decided against it. The only place I can pick it up at is the main UPS location which is 35min away from me and NOT my local UPS which is 5min away from me because of the high value of the item.
Ah well I'll wait until the evening that way by then all the "gate" threads will be made and I'll know any defects to look out for. Rofl

Not true. I have a FedEx tracking number for my wife's iPhone coming Friday. UPS for mine.
Just spoke with Apple. They said that as soon as the order is in the hands of UPS they do not need permission from Apple to change it to Will Call. All you do is call up UPS and they will do that for you...as soon as it's handed off to UPS.
We are unable to change it to WILL CALL until it's in the hands of UPS.

I received similar information from a UPS rep. As I mentioned earlier, My Choice is NOT needed to hold the delivery at will call!
So, when you called UPS, did their rep tell you that you can change it to will call, before they have it in their possession from Apple?
Nope. He said the same thing the apple rep told you. Can't make delivery changes until they actually receive it.
Unless you use My Choice. I've already changed my delivery option and my label is only in the creation stage. UPS hasn't actually received the phone.
I just called my local UPS hub. They took my tracking number and said that they will hold it for will call for Friday morning, but just make sure to follow tracking to make sure it's been updated appropriately and if it hasn't to call back once it's in their possession but she made it sound like they could do it before they have it in their possession...

Did they print-out (email) any sort of confirmation for you?
They did not. However I'm fairly confident it will be available as it is the location that my packages normally get loaded on the truck.
I would make sure to double check your UPS facility's hours of operation. I figured that I would just pick mine up after my classes end at 11:30 on Friday, but the hours of my local UPS hub are 8-10 and then a huge gap from 10-5 and they close at 6. I'm not sure if these weird hours are typical of UPS hubs, but I would make sure to check.
Yeah! I changed mine too for pick up but I'll just pick it up like at 10am cause I value my sleep on my off day.

Changed mine to hold for pickup on 9/19 at the Customer Center. We shall see. "whoops, it went out on the truck by mistake, so sorry"
Have mine set for pickup also, and now att sends me a fedex tracking number....not sure who has the phone now
