I am signed in to UPS MY Choice (Premium). I see change delivery. Then it launches a pop-up to login to UPS My Choice, looping me back to the tracking page. No option offered to change. Something I am doing wrong? Thanks!

Does UPS show any tracking activity?

They usually don't let you schedule a pickup until there is some activity.

It does the same thing to me. What I think is happening is that the tracking number isn't actually "active" at the moment. Meaning that it's not live in the system and eligible for things like delivery changes until it leaves its current location. Mine has been in Harrisburg, PA since Sunday, and I think options like Change Delivery will become active once it leaves that facility.

not true...i had no problem changing mine and the label was created. The item hadn't been scanned or moved cities etc. As long as there is a tracking number there...it will let you change the delivery options.

Well hell, I don't know what the issue is then. It sure won't let me edit anything at the moment.
 
do you have pop-up blocker turned off? mine had a bit of a delay and popped up a new window to change it.

I get a new window, but as a couple of others here stated, I get the window explaining what UPS My Choice is, what it does, etc., and it gives me a link to log in (even though I'm already logged in). Doing so just takes me back to the original UPS home. It never presents any options for me to change anything.

Checking Apple.com, my order is still in Prepared for Shipping status, so I just assumed that it's still too early to change anything. I'll check it all out again tomorrow.

Which browser are you using to do this? I had the same issues using Chrome. However, when I attempted the same actions in IE, it actually worked.

mine is exactly like yours man. still says preparing shipment on apple.com. i tracked by reference number and signed in UPS choice and was able to change it. I'm using Firefox if that makes a difference...
 
My Choice is NOT required for this!

According to the rep I just chatted with, My Choice is not required for a will call hold. Some others have mentioned the same information in this thread. see my chat transcript below:

Michael M.: The "Order Processed: Ready for UPS" tracking scan indicates that UPS has received electronic transmission of package data from the shipper. Sometimes the package is not actually given to UPS on the date the shipper processed the billing information.

I would suggest that you continue to track the package online, and as soon as it is picked up, that information will be shown online, as soon as the package is picked up by UPS, we can enter the request to have the package held for a pickup at the Customer Center.

Ryan: Do i have to be a mychoice member to do this?

Michael M.: No, My Choice will only be an option for packages that are coming to your home address, but you can still contact us back to request that the package is held for a pickup, we just need to have possession of the package before that hold request can be entered.

Ryan: is there a charge for that? also, will i be able to pick up the package on the intended arrival date (9/19) or will I have to wait another day?

Michael M.: As long as the request is entered prior to 11:59 pm on 9/18, the package would be available for a pickup on 9/19. There is no charge for the pickup request.

As an FYI to anyone wanting to send their item to a UPS store and gets a notice that the delivery is pushed back:

Don't freak out. I've sent many packages to UPS stores and the pushback is automatic and is then almost always changed back to the original date. It's all about timing. The date is pushed back until they can confirm that they can reroute the package and still make the original delivery date.

So long as you give UPS ample time to make the change it'll be fine. If you try to hold it at a UPS store the morning of delivery or after it's already been loaded on a truck you'll probably end up pushed back a day. The day before? You'll be fine so long as the store you're using is in the same area as your original delivery address.
 
I've used UPS My Choice many times before, but I can't seem to change my delivery to Will Call because everytime I click "Change Delivery", it prompts me to log in my UPS account, but then after that, it just returns me back to the tracking info without any option to actually change the delivery.

I wonder why I can't change it? I'm tracking this through my phone number as reference and Apple still has not updated my order status to shipped yet. It's still currently in "Preparing for Shipment" still.

Same problem I'm having .
 
I've been using my choice premium for a few months now...usually you are able to change your actual delivery window..but they seem to have locked that functionality down for this delivery... my local depot which is less than a mile away from my house doesn't open until 11am... not sure what i'm gonna do..i can always make the change tomorrow or thursday i guess.
 
Did you choose ups acess pt or hold at ups customer center. Not sure which is which and don't want to delay the shipment. Thanks.

I first selected to be hold at ups customer center then I changed it to ups access pt but it changes the date to be picked up until monday 22nd, so I changed it back to be hold on will call... Now I have like 3 different changes...:(
 
Has any noticed on the UPS site under "Contact UPS" at the top and then "Live Chat", there is information on iPhone Delivery Options. It says:

If you need to change the address on your package, there are 2 options available to you:

You may place the package on Will Call.
a) By placing a Will Call, the package will be available for pickup from the UPS Customer Center on September 20th.

b) A Customer Service Representative will be able to find the closest location and schedule your Will Call.



Can the phones be picked-up on the 19th or will you really need to wait until the 20th???

It is just one more day, I can live with that, I won't be home all day and the leasing office will close at 5 pm and will not open again until monday, there is a small chance it will be available on friday if not I will wait until saturday
 
not to sound condescending, truly just asking here. If this your going this route did you feel this was better than just doing personal pick up at the store?

I thought I wanted to go this route also, I know my fedex guy takes till like 7pm on iphone release days from previous experience :eek: so I wanted to either send it to a friends job or do the hold for delivery.

Once i found out I could do personal pick up at the apple store I figured that was the best route, ymmv on which one is busier but I would expect your ups hub to be busy that morning as well.

with pick up option I can open the phone there, do a quick turn on make sure no screen broken or DOA and be omw.

I assume two of the answers is that in store pick up from apple was not available and secondly you ordered from the carrier so it had to be shipped?

i'm just curious to see if delivery is the best route for future years purchases :)

FYI If you do a store pickup on launch day, it's likely you'll be waiting as well. I've done this a couple of times and the longest wait I had to do was about 2 hours standing outside an apple store. I doubt the lines at UPS will take that long.
