UPS My Choice Held for Pick Up on 9/19

I'm almost positive you'll be fine with a drivers license that has the same address and last name...
Access Point. I would not have opted for it if they made it clear my delivery date would change as a result, but I don't also see why they would have to. I assumed they were just going to simply drop it off where I ask them to, not let it sit at the facility for the weekend :\
Try and change it back. It delays the delivery because that's not in the original route for that package. Holding for will call at customer center would not affect the date because that package was going to end up there to be sorted anyway.

Does the package show in your account or did you input a tracking/reference number? It will only allow you to change delivery if it pops up in your account on ups.
I had the same issue. Turns out the phone is coming in my maiden name. I've changed this multiple times with AT&T since getting married 14 yrs ago but...oh well. Check your order and see how your name and address is listed. Then make sure in your ups account that it matches exactly or else it won't show up.

Was successful at doing that.. thank goodness. The gave me instructions to find the cancellation of requests online and was able to undo the change while it was still pending and before it was executed. Funnily enough it suprised me how enraged I had become due to that.
For anyone else who are thinking to try what I did, be warned that they just may delay your shipment just because you want it to be dropped off at an access point. The reason they gave me over the phone was that it would take a business day to relabel your shipment and since they won't upgrade your shipping to Saturday delivery.. they would make you wait until Monday

I can't register for My Choice yet because I moved to a new address last month, so UPS cannot verify my information yet.
I am going to try to hold for will call, which is evidently separate from My Choice.
same boat as me, just moved too and code will be sent thru postal mail. waiting for delivery might be better than will call as some areas, like mine, have "will call" windows open after regular hours (8-10pm).
They told me the addresses must match.

That's why I decided against it. Ours doesn't open until 3. UPS usually gets to my house around noon.
You can still arrange for will call at a Customer Center with 9/19 pick up without using My Choice.
I did that last night, and my phone is scheduled to be picked up tomorrow.
I took a chance and did this because I have a hub 5 mins away and my ups driver doesn't come until about 8-9pm on busy days like this. Only concern is my ID address doesn't technically match.. In VA the dmv sends u a little card to carry with ur ID which has the updated address. Hopefully it works
Same with me. I have a feeling they moved them and the phones have been sitting at the centers but they didn't want people trying to pick them up before Friday.
Just checked my UPS status, phone is literally about 30 miles from my doorstep. UPS hub where I'm picking it up is less than 3 miles away. I'll have that bad boy by 8:30am.
Ouch, and I was complaining because mine doesn't open until 1pm. Sorry, bro.

But I went ahead and bit the bullet and had them held. I'll head out to be there by 2 and have a book and snacks. Lol. Color me pissed if I see a truck in my neighborhood before then though. Lol
It's just the way their routing is done for air packages. You could live right next door to the warehouse and it doesn't matter. When a package is sent overnight, it goes to a hub, gets on a plane to their Worldhub and gets redistributed from there. It doesn't seem to make sense, but following the same process with every package keeps it consistent.
The last scan on my package was at 5am in Philadelphia and I'm in northern VA. Hope it makes it by 8 am when my local UPS center opens #
Yeah have mine being held there as well. Have u picked up there on a apple release before? If it's crazy I might wait till 9 and let the initial rush die down.
I doubt there will be a rush of people picking up their package/iPhone but every time I've been there it's a quick visit!
Did not have my choice and they did it for free
MyChoice (not premium) is free and holding at the distribution is free as well even with a non premium account. Just an FYI for future shipments.

That was a cheapest route for them. They have incredible algorithms that are extremely efficient.
