What's the package weight?
We have the same departure scan. Are you in GA?
I have the same departure scan as well, but I'm on the west coast.
Where is all the doubt in this thread coming from? Every year a good chunk of people have been getting their phones 1-2 days early. I wouldn't think 3 days early would be outside the realm of possibility at all.
Ups and FedEx will be glad to let some of these packages be delivered early. It helps them meet their shipping commitment by spreading the deliveries out over several days. They chalk it up as a mistake, several thousand people will be ecstatic to get their phones ahead of time, hundreds of thousands of people will be jealous of those few who got their phones early and life goes on.
...and then Apple won't use them next year.
Who knows Tim Cook is the boss. You may get lucky. He wanted to double down on secrecy and every leak was accurate. Irrespective on tracking status 99.99% will get on launch day. During previous launches people tried to release hold, pickup early etc., nothing worked. These are processed by UPS logistics within Foxconn factory, so I guess they know how to prevent early delivery.

Did you order from AT&T or Apple.
What did you select to search?
Package
Freight
Mail innovations?
What was your reference number? Your phone number or order number?!?
Nope, Fresno, CA. I'm betting it ends up here by tomorrow at the local facility and then I get the "Delivery Exception: Hold requested" like I did last year. Then I will get it late Friday evening because my UPS driver always comes pretty late.
I am also in this situation with a phone departing a US location today and overnight shipping. I am also not holding my breath, but it would be pretty sweet. For the record my order is a 16gb Black / Slate AT&T

I guess I was thinking.
How exactly is it possible for Apple to hold (as we know now) 2 MILLION iPhones. There is no way UPS can handle that load all at once. A few hundred would have to slip wouldn't you say?
In case the OP loses track, I think I got them all:
zachnelson $10
rsoxtim $10
rockroad55 $10
Richb718 $20
appleaddict97 $27
---------------------
TOTAL $77

UPS delivers 15.8 million shipments per day as a whole. They can handle 2 million. Also I think FedEX is taking on the responsibility along with UPS.

The Apple ninjas will be hiding in the bushes outside your door, ready to pounce on the delivery man.I called UPS asking the status of my package, and asked when it is supposed to be delivered.
He told me it shipped next day and the package went out today (which is true according to the tracking) and should arrive tomorrow before 3PM EST.
I told him this is the iPhone 5, and asked if there were any restrictions for Friday? He said no, the restrictions are for items shipped via Standard Shipping. Mine shipped via "Holiday Shipping". I even told him on my end it says 4 days left (Friday) and he said that is weird, his system says one more day (tomorrow) and that it was in my city.
On the tracker, it is still sitting in Illinois.
He gave me his extension incase it doesn't come tomorrow. He seemed pretty positive.
Should I be pumped? Anyone else have this experience? If this is true. I AM PUMPED.
Important information for iPhone Customers
Apple has required that UPS deliver iPhone shipments to customers on and not before Friday, September 21, 2012. iPhones are scheduled for Friday, September 21 2012 and have a delivery commitment of the end of day.
Yes, but UPS is HOLDING them. And they all get then sent out at once. That is a pretty big chunk.
