Finally making the upgrade from my iPhone 13 pro max to iPhone 17 pro max, the orange color got me it looks so nice. Only got 256GB though
If I remember correctly tracking #s don't come until weds. I may be wrong but have been around for a many launch day tracking planes etc
Depends on the driver. Mine refuses to leave anything. And my Apple signature required door tags always say on the back I can't sign for this package. And I haven't seen the printable pre-sign sheet in at least a couple of years.
Ditto. I upgraded to Premium a couple of says ago and my entire delivery history is now blank. UPS keeps tossing me back and forth between departments, none of which have any clue what's going on. I think My Choice is great when it works but it's glitchy.
For those of us with the UPS MyChoice accounts we see it as soon as labels are created typically the Saturday or Sunday before delivery and can track it. Apple officially will not reflect they are shipped till the day before delivery typically and provide tracking.
Before the officially come through, they're usually visible if you have UPS MyChoice as early as the Saturday/Sunday after preorder.
But yeah, Apple never marks the shipment shipped until Wednesday/Thursday. By then, they used to have existed in UPS's system for many days.
Doesn't look like the case this year.
That's weird! But I guess I'm a little surprised that carriers are pushing things out before Apple? Maybe I shouldn't be lol. Unless Apple is sending it from somewhere super close to me?
The scans are known to often be inaccurate and out of date. Apple clearly has some issues this year and also upped security so it's not as easy to track by reference. Maybe they got a bunch of calls from people who didn't have tracking info when people who ordered after them did and they got sick of dealing with it. Total conjecture on my part.

I got a pending transaction for tax on Wednesday when I did the preorder preparation. But, it’s still pending, so not a completed charge at this point. Nothing in UPS (or FedEx) either. I reckon I’ll see an update within the next day or two.
Even though it often looks like it’ll be impossible for the phone to arrive on time based on the limited details we receive, I’ve never had a launch day iPhone not arrive on launch day. So, despite how excited I am to see movement, I feel confident I’ll be holding my new iPhone on Friday!
Very boring year this year unfortunately, AAPL must have figured out how to get UPS to block anything from China for launch I guess. We will probably all get scans when they land in the U.S and we will then know for sure.
That’s what I’m starting to think. Where I live in NorCal, there’s an Apple facility quite nearby. They could literally ship it on Thursday and it would arrive on Friday without any special overnight or rush.
That isn’t true. They are exempt from the larger tariffs but not the baseline tariffs.
Not entirely true. They are exempt from the insanely high reciprocal tariffs, but they are still subject to the 10% base line tariff the president enacted when he took office.
Lots of Apple stuff we get in Northern Virginia comes from PA. If they prestaged there, yep, might not see anything until later in the week. No label here for my normal Silver 256 Pro 9/19.
Does Apple not have to pay the brokerage fees too?
I ask because a recent Canadian order I placed caused a 130% tariff + duties + brokerage fees.
