For those doing set up as new/fresh install,
For the past year, I've been promising myself that this would be the year that I wouldn't migrate my phone and would start from scratch. For goodness sake, my iPhone backup started on the iPhone (2007) and has made its way through the 3G(S), 4S, 5S, 6S, X, 11Pro, 12Pro, and now my 14Pro. Without question, there has to be corruption and other digital sludge in there from eighteen years of use. But it seems so overwhelming to start over that I'll probably just migrate the darned thing again.

Anyone else started from scratch? How painful was it? How'd you transfer the stuff you couldn't just recreate?
This is me. I posted this and a handful of people said they are planning on it also. I am not totally sure on the process that won't royally mess everything up though. Should we manually do the apps/settings logged out of IC, then toggle back on IC line items one by one? It can't be that simple lol.

I don’t trust going caseless, even if I add AppleCare, because you still have to pay for repairs. I have my Otterbox, which never lets me down, and I also got a screen protector, so my phone looks brand new every year. For instance, if you have gym shorts on, they'll slide out of your pocket easily, especially when sitting down.
Getting this for DH when it drops in price or is on Amz used etc - he needs super protective for work, and while it's bulky it's the best one imo. Love this color combo too. Is the XT much different? Some are saying yes, some no.

Guys suggest me a PD 3.2 charger for 17 Pro max. Cannot find any PD 3.2 one, though PD 3.0 ones are available. Need it in max 20W or 30W

Track by Reference Number... put your order number and state and that’s it. (If you don’t see anything, your label is not created yet.)

I think Gaedfly was asking because there’s no state field. Are you saying that people should put their state’s code (e.g. “CA”) next to the order number in the Reference Number box? Or were you referring to country/territory field and not a state field?

True... I would need another phone to log in to first to see how everything is presented. Again, some messages from people I've not spoken to in 10 years I wouldn't care here or there if I had them.

Voicemails I have saved the audios anyway and thanks to visual voicemail, seem to stay on the handset even when updating.
I think you might be overthinking. Under the assumption that you have a current (non 17) iPhone:

New phone comes. Put your old phone aside (don’t wipe, trade in, etc. yet) Start from scratch. Load messages from icloud. Verify everything looks good (it likely will). Now you know your new phone is fresh from scratch plus has your valued memories. Do whatever you want with your old phone.

Also, maybe more importantly than whether your phone is a fresh install or not. Please use some software like iMazing to pull off all of the messages and pdf or hard copy them. That way you can have them forever irrespective of phones and software.
