Hoping to do it as soon as it scans into the UPS system. Assuming you work there? How do those changes get flagged? When they get scanned to load on the truck?

Not a UPS employee, just a customer who ships a lot and receives a lot.

When your package (tracking) shows it arrived at your local center, make the request for Access point pickup immediately.

Don't wait until your package is sorted and loaded.
Different trucks get different loads (commercial, residential, UPS center transfers, etc).

If you make the request late, your package will go out to the address on the package if not delivered, it will return to the center at the end of the day and then get loaded the next day on the truck that is going to your Access point.

Remember Access point locations will change the truck it gets loaded.

My San Bernardino bound packages I want to pickup in Los Angeles county, will get a center to center transfer to the different county overnight first and then get loaded in the morning - so be aware and plan accordingly....

I just went into my UPS account and saw a label was made from “AI” and another one made for my trade in kit. Still no indication of any movement in the Apple app.

Ordered a 17Pro through Apple, unlocked.

It's free, it's basically similar to USPS's Informed Delivery, where you can see what mail you're getting

Mine too...I got a new label created on FedEx for my trade in. But nothing for my 2 17PMs.
I thought Apple used UPS for all of their phone shipments?

I got the same. But the weight of the package is 1 pound and size is 3x8x12. Which seems very unusual for just a trade in kit.

I got the same. It's the trade in kit. My phone is coming from UPS at 1.4lbs.

Got two 17pm’s stuck in PTS ever since last Saturday. I wonder if Apple got ours staged in Rialto CA & won’t start sending them until Thursday.

I would assume all 9/19 launch deliveries will technically ship Thursday, Next Day Air as they should be housed at the closest UPS distribution centers.

that's normal. they always use fedex for the return box and for shipping the trade in back to them.

I don't think he works for UPS, being that he sicked the cops on them last year over an iPhone not arriving on time 🤣

If they have them in Rialto - they can even do Thursday shipping with ground service and still get them delivered on time on Friday. I guess we should be seeing some progress today, or tomorrow for sure.
