For some that may be a benefit, I guess......
But I always keep my iPhone cleaned out......I don't keep unnecessary apps or other junk, I call it house cleaning and do it every couple of months.
If there was a glaring benefit to do it I might consider.......but to manually install all the apps I use and have to go through all the insane amount of settings/alerts/notifications/etc would be an huge undertaking.

I have my iPhone working the way I want it now......my main reason for an upgrade is Battery life and RAM.
yes, to each his own.

I guess this in-store pickup would update tomorrow anyways. Us newzealanders would be the first one receiving our iPhones from store on planet earth hehe. As its already 1:47PM (18th sep) here :D

ok the phone’s tracking # just popped up in ups mychoice. coming to norcal from rialto, ca. however ups still says they are awaiting the item.

sucks to not be able to track them coming into the country from overseas. who knows, this all might be because of the tariff stuff.

Has been this way for a few years now. So not tariff related.

Probably helps UPS to ensure timely delivery of the large number of phones. They can presort them at label time versus sorting them all as they arrive in China under pressure.

Anybody still waiting for T-Mobile to show anything thru UPS? I've got my label created in my choice from Friday already, but no actual departure scans which worries me a bit as its coming via 2nd day air, not NDA

They can’t use UPS ground actually. UPS ground has no guarantee on its delivery date. People would be extremely disappointed if UPS showed up a week later than estimated…
Can’t say for certain about UPS, but FedEx does this all the time. Assuming that UPS is gonna use Rialto for shipping to all of CA and western states - they can send packages on the truck and have plenty of transit time to deliver on Friday if the trucks start moving tomorrow morning. Rialto to North Cal takes maximum 12 hrs of transit by ground.

Sorry to hear 😔 but all know they will deliver by Friday 🙏
I’m still waiting for the second 17PM to get its label created. Surely things are gonna be moving quicker from here on out. Next 3 days UPS will be working their butts off.

I asked grok about the weights and it guesses 1.0 lb is the phone and the watch should be closer to 1.5 lbs so guess we will see! Sounds like some of you know how much yours weighs specifically based on what you’ve ordered so it’s obviously just a fun guess

It could work time wise. But Apple would be on the hook if the package was late. Using Next Day Air allows Apple to get a shipping refund from UPS for every late package.

Not to mention this makes stealing truckloads of phones extremely difficult. Since they’ll be on planes.
