Anybody still waiting for T-Mobile to show anything thru UPS? I've got my label created in my choice from Friday already, but no actual departure scans which worries me a bit as its coming via 2nd day air, not NDA
Same for me. Ordered from T-Mobile on Sep 12th and got UPS tracking since Saturday but no movement yet. I had my iPhone 17 PM case shipped by Apple with UPS 2nd Day Air on Saturday with delivery for today and it didn't show any movement until yesterday at 10 am when it showed up at Louisville, KY and I got it delivered today. So most likely we won't see any movement until tomorrow morning even if it is showing 2nd Day Air.

Same here, In ups my choice but no actual updates. Every year I’ve had 2 day air and it has still come on release day.

My T-Mobile account never updates until after it delivers tho.

Still no tracking for me yet, but good to see some west coasters getting labels in UPS. I did get a notification earlier and was excited for a minute, but...it was just my case order from Spigen. I guess I'll be getting my phone tracking tomorrow.

It could work time wise. But Apple would be on the hook if the package was late. Using Next Day Air allows Apple to get a shipping refund from UPS for every late package.

Not to mention this makes stealing truckloads of phones extremely difficult. Since they’ll be on planes.
How would Apple be on the hook for late packages? They don’t guarantee the delivery date.

Apple does not guarantee a specific delivery date
but provides an estimated delivery timeframe during checkout and via a shipment notification email once the item leaves the warehouse. While Apple's estimates are generally accurate and sometimes conservative, the actual delivery date is subject to the shipping carrier and can vary
.”

There are a lot of high value loads going by ground with armed escorts. Nvidia and Google use ground service all the time.

I imagine Apple Stores will be receiving shipments tomorrow with the iPhones for Friday pick up since UPS has to get them there before stores open at 8 AM. Would love to see how large those boxes are and how many they receive. I imagine each store gets X amount of each model/storage/color.

I asked grok about the weights and it guesses 1.0 lb is the phone and the watch should be closer to 1.5 lbs so guess we will see! Sounds like some of you know how much yours weighs specifically based on what you’ve ordered so it’s obviously just a fun guess
It’s about what mine came out to be

17PM 256 blue set for 9/19
I know my device is shipping from Lebanon, Tennessee, as are many others.
I suspect that in the early morning, it will hop on a truck and make the drive up to Louisville, because there are no flights from Nashville to Louisville.
Then, later in the afternoon, when they do their big sort, mine will catch a plane to Dallas, and then it will get back on the truck for about a 5 1/2 hour drive to Lubbock, Texas, where I’m at.
I work for one of the major wireless carriers, and normally I take iPhone Friday off, but not this year, and time off allotments are blocked out for the rest of this month. UPS will deliver it to my apartment’s leasing office because even if you try to designated to come to your door, specifically, FedEx and UPS always leaves up the leasing office. So I won’t get it till about 5 PM on Friday.
I miss the old days of going in buying a dozen Krispy Kreme‘s and taking them to the UPS customer service center when I picked up my phone. Oh well.

This is my order and I haven’t received any updates all week. I’m guessing the 18th date is a glitch. Being delivered to NYC.

Has been this way for a few years now. So not tariff related.

Probably helps UPS to ensure timely delivery of the large number of phones. They can presort them at label time versus sorting them all as they arrive in China under pressure.

yeah i haven’t done a release day delivery in more than 3 years. so have been out of touch.

It's now 21:13 PDT and my iPhone 17 PM still isn't showing up in UPS...grrr....

I know we’re all excited to see that validation of movement on the UPS side. But, hang in there! I don’t have mine yet, either, but it’ll show up. I’m also in NorCal, and we’ve got a distribution hub close enough that they can easily complete labels tomorrow and still get them to us on Friday. Every time I’ve done a launch day delivery, it’s always appeared that there was no way the iPhone would arrive on time. But it always has! I’m sure this time will be no different.

east bay here, mine's apparently coming from Rialto though, which is in southern california. but still 2 days is plenty of time for it to get here by truck from there.

Agree that it is enough time. I’m in the Sacramento area, so probably also coming from Rialto. I don’t know for sure since I don’t see my label yet, but most Apple products I get come from there. Since the order is shipped Express Delivery, I feel pretty confident of it’s on time arrival, outside of entirely unexpected circumstances.

Lot's of folks getting new phones that will need to pair with their old Apple Watch. Here's Apple's article about that:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/104956

That article says that the iCloud or Encrypted backup in Finder also back up the current Watch.

Once you are on new phone and the old watch is paired, then you power up your new Watch. Last time I did this, I think it was two years ago now, the iPhone asked me if I wanted to use the old Watch to restore to the new Watch. I did not have to unpair the old one and then pair the new one, though I have had new watches that did require going through the entire unpair and pair.

Here's an article if you are having issues with this process:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/122528

Please, if anyone has more recent info or any corrections or additions, I'm all ears! I'll be doing the new iPhone and new Apple Watch shuffle as well!

Was charged and moved to preparing to ship yesterday... late last night moved back to processing, still there now in Apple Store app and no UPS updates in app.. still showing 9/19 delivery though... aside from the 9/25->9/19 issue, it definitely seems different this year than the other years
I agree - something is off this year… usually the tracking is in MyUPS by now…
