I haven’t seen any update from UPS. My Apple order shows delivery today, but UPS shows delivery date will be provided as soon as possible.
Which would lead me to believe its a UPS issue. I had an item delayed a few weeks ago and had the same" as soon as possible" notification. The issue was with UPS.

Good luck, hopefully it arrives today.

Since my phone is out for delivery can someone explain to me please how to post a pic on here since I’m apparently too dumb to figure it out lol. I’m on my phone using this forum.

Click the photo button, which I’ve tried to circle in red in the screenshot below. It will bring up a window for you to select an image to insert.

10 minutes in and out of the Apple Store, my hour of appointments went really quickly!

I like the Blue, very nice. I do not notice the few grams heavier 17PM compared to my 16PM.

I asked and was told that our Apple Store does have the updater machine in back, but mine had to be updated, 5 minutes with my fast internet and a Thunderbolt 5 cable between Mac Studio and iPhone.

Mine made to Stafford and it’s Processing at UPS Facility since 6:14 am but not loaded of truck. In my case, some packages don’t show the Loaded on Delivery Vehicle and still get delivered. Still not out for delivery but the transponder is showing up already!!

Cool! My girl got loaded at 9:11, so barring anything weird, I'll see her this evening.

For those that picked their phones up at Apple stores this morning and did the set up there. Were there any issues with Esim like there were with the 15 Pro Max launch or was it smooth?

Mine is Out for Delivery but did not get the Loaded on Delivery Truck scan!! Let’s see if it gets delivered! Transponder is ON with mine! I have had packages without that scan and got delivered!
I see them miss scans on occasion and they deliver. Had one that looked like it didn’t even make it to town as it missed the last several scans. Showed up anyway lol.

If it says out for delivery, it should be in your hands soon!

I thought new iPhone day journey would be more fun with a road map. Here are a couple things I previously posted about moving to your new iPhone.

It appears the most important thing when using any backup from a previous iPhone is having your Apple Account password. If you don't know it but are logged into Apple device(s), depending upon your settings you can initiate a password reset. There are support documents to assist if you don’t have your password.

If you don't have space in iCloud for a full iCloud backup, Apple has provided temporary space for an iCloud backup to transfer to your new iPhone. There will be a "get ready for your new iPhone" under iPhone>Settings at some point, and it will offer the space there. When I used the iPhone Upgrade Program I had a “get ready for your new iPhone” in Settings, but I don’t see it yet this morning. Maybe it shows up when the new phone is turned on near the old phone.

I think the iCloud Restore started via Quick Start is probably the fastest and easiest method. And most people don't like transfers between devices as they lock you out of both devices until the process is complete. With iCloud Restore it will complete most of the transfer and then let you use the phone while it continues to download apps, email and messages, settings, and files.

One of my first steps after restoring to my new iPhone is to change my phone’s name in Settings>General>About

If you can't pair your Apple Watch with a new iPhone

I did not find an article about pairing a new watch once you have the old watch paired with the new iPhone. As I recall I just started up the new watch next to the new iPhone and a notification on the iPhone asked if I wanted use the previous watch backup to set up the new watch.

Good luck and have fun out there!
Transfer or Reset iPhone is at the bottom of the Settings>General page. It will give directions for preparation, though in my case it told me "That's it for now" as I'd already done the back, etc.

Mine had a problem but my old phone was an unlocked one that was on Xfinity until earlier this year and was then switched to Verizon. The Verizon Air I bought wouldn’t do the eSIM transfer so it took a call to Verizon to sort it out.

For those that have gotten new phones so far, are they made in India? Curious if any made in China made it to the US for launch.

As of 10:44am, watch is out for delivery but phone still shows at the destination hub and not yet loaded for delivery 😡

I like this phone. It fees better in my hand naked than the previous years. Glad I upgraded.

I did ispu this time, because of the whole delivery date issue. There was not as much people as you would expect. I’ve only ever gotten a phone on release date from the Apple store one other time, got it from the same location as this one. That time was for the iPhone 6 Plus, and there was a crazy amount of people there. Not this time.

Got right in at 8am, despite my appointment time being 815-830. Will admit, I almost asked about changing my silver to orange. The orange looks so much better in person than any picture I’ve seen. The experience leaves a lot to be desired though. Got the phone, and they told me they would set me up with someone to get everything transferred over. I told them I only need a space to do it, that I already knew what I was doing, since I upgrade every year. First guy takes me to the second guy and tells him I already know what I’m doing I just need the space to do it. Second guy proceeds to walk me through everything like it’s my first time. Had me restore via backup insisting it would be faster. I usually do the side by side phone thing, which for me in my experience is faster. Took forever. Finally get the new phone set up. On to erasing the old phone. When I start erasing the old phone it gave me a message about id have to wait an hour to turn off find my and erase it because it’s in stolen phone mode (or something similar) because it’s in a not known location. The “genius” said no big deal he can grab a computer and erase the phone with it. The phone did say it was ready for trade in in find my. He starts erasing it and told me I could leave that we would be good from there. It’s still showing up on find my for me. So I hit the button to erase it in find my just in case and hit the remove from find my button. Guess we will see what, if anything, comes of that. While I appreciate the willingness to help, I wish they would of listened and just let me do my thing. I can almost guarantee it would of been a lot smoother for me to do so.

The phone itself, as I said feels great in my hand naked. I haven’t liked the way they have felt for the past few generations. And I haven’t been brave enough to go naked since they had the all glass backs. This one I think I might, other than certain times. Work, or when I’m out on my atv, or other high risk situations I’ll use the nomad case I purchased. But generally I think I’m gonna roll naked with this one. I feel more confident with smaller amount of glass. Speaking of which, I expected there to be a noticeable seam between the glass and the aluminum…there’s not. The phone is thicker, and slightly heavier, but to me that makes it feel more solid in my hand.

Overall so far, I feel it was worth the upgrade, even though I was coming from a 16 pro max. YMMV, of course, since everyone is different, but these are just my first impressions

You guys are some real enthusiasts getting the Pros this year. I'm getting the base 17, the Apple Watch 11, and the AirPods Pro 3 for less than $800 total after trade-ins. Looking forward to a much more manageable phone coming from the 15 Pro Max (which is just too heavy and cumbersome).
Always get Pro, but the smaller one. I’ve never seen the attraction of big phones. Also getting a Watch 11 and AirPods Pro 3.
