They were findable in the So Cal area until early last week ... then it mostly turned into a desert across the US. You might have had to drive an hour to get what you wanted, but it was possible to do online pickup orders. Hopefully, the situation will improve this week.

Yeah. Stock has dried up.

I think LA area received some stock of silver and orange 17 Pro and Pro Max around Wednesday or Thursday last week but they were gone quick.

Yea I remember that. And my local store had blue 512gb phones for a long time lol. When I bought my orange 256gb max, silver and orange were available most of the day.

Scratch that: As of writing this there are orange phones available in various parts of socal.

I checked about an hour ago and, bizarrely, there are some 256GB and 512GB orange Pro Maxes to be found in both Southern and Northern California. Back after release day, anything orange was as scarce as hens' teeth. Now, we have some orange and nothing else

Also saw some silver in SoCal an hour or so ago. Now it’s the Deep Blue that’s OOS.

Ordered an iPhone 17 Pro Max 2TB Orange on release day and finally received a notice that it's shipping today.

It's shipping from:

Apple Fusion Resi - Lo55
100 Goodman Dr, Carlisle, PA 170137935 US

Isn't this the refurb warehouse? If so, I'm going straight to the local Apple Store and returning it. 😂

Usually the new phones are flown in to warehouses on pallets. At this point they're probably receiving them at apple warehouses in batches and then splitting the pallets out into individual orders. It's definitely not a refurb.

I don't think Apple Stores are getting shipments of even amounts of phones. They might receive all blue one day, and all orange the next, or a 30/70 mix or something.

The hardest thing to find was a sage green 17! I finally got my brother one over the weekend. Interestingly, the store received a lot of them - enough to last for over 24 hours. They've since sold out.

Well my delivery window begins tomorrow on the 8th through the 15th and it's still stuck on processing. 256GB 17 Pro Max Blue
You are more likely this year to get your order fulfilled within the delivery window than in the past. It does suck when you rush to place your order instead of go to a physical store but I think I'll make my orders in the future collection rather than delivery.

My original AT&T delivery date for my silver iPhone 17 Pro was end of October but I just got notification it is being shipped early. My wife's orange 17 Pro Max also has an end of Oct date.

Does AT&T often give a later estimated window or did I just somehow get lucky where they had additional stock show up?

After DAYS of checking numerous inventory trackers, I was FINALLY able to secure a silver 17 Pro Max in 256GB at my local Apple Store for pickup today.🙌🏼

First impressions compared to the Air (which I will be keeping by the way)… she’s a BRICK. But she's MY brick lol. And I actually like the look, and feel in hand, about as much as the Air in person (shockingly). Why did I spring for the Pro Max as well however? For those days where I’m filming and/or just using my phone a bit more than usual, and find myself needing a bit more endurance and/or camera versatility. As for those lighter days, I will 100% be rocking the Air. So I guess I’ll enjoy BOTH, because there really is no “one size fits all” solution in this year’s lineup, which is both extremely exciting but also rather frustrating.

Anybody else doing, or considering, a 2 device set up this year? With eSIM it’s easier than ever to switch between multiple devices instantly, so… I figured why not. Especially since I got $700 in trade-in credit for my 16 Pro Max.

How did you track inventory? I'm trying to secure the same model and size for a friend to pick up in Orlando. Looks like this color/size it's the hardest to find available.

No there are no updates to your initial order delivery window until your order is processed for shippment. AT&T receives bulk shipments from Apple.

Once a unit that matches the configuration you order is scanner to the Distribution Center, orders are process in order (mostly), there are multiple fulfillment lines so one rep may be faster at processing order fulfillment processing vs another rep.

Try this tool using the Zip Codes around Orlando https://iphonechecker.herokuapp.com/ make sure to give it a moment to actually perform the check for each search you run.
