One of the reasons I stopped ordering through AT&T years ago. Always ran into issues after the fact.

I not only didn't order through ATT when they canceled my order with no explanation and refused to reinstate my order, I soon afterwards left them after 20 years for T-Mobile.

My lack of satisfaction was exacerbated by how many of my travel locations developed signal issues, and T-Mobile was stellar in all those places! So I ended up glad they effed my order. lol

I was on this morning and got in at 8:05 for a Cosmic Orange IPhone 17 Pro with a 9/25 ship date like most here. I just went back in and was able to place an order for a 9/19 delivery date so it's definitely a glitch. I'll keep both order, I guess which ever comes first I keep. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I can sit at home and have it delivered directly to me along with a prepaid shipping box for my old phone.
I don't have to drive 50-miles one way and wait in line to pick it up.
Could not be easier!

I mean your Apple Store is super far. I'd do the same if I were you. (Or just get it directly at a carrier store.)

My Apple Store is less than a mile from my home. And I strongly prefer both picking it up at a retail location and doing a trade-in in-person.

I really doubt it's demand considering people who ordered after got 9/19 dates. Going with a glitch. The app opened for me at 8 a.m. on the dot. Order placed and email notification at 8 a.m. 9/25 delivery date.

A few words to prepare you for next week's shipments. This is based on last decade of data points. It may be a bit different if phones are coming from India instead as we've not tracked those phones on launch day previously.

Apple will not report "Shipping" until the phone clears Customs in Louisville next Thursday, even though you can track its movements on UPS site and app by using tricks (UPS Choice, for example, or entering the correct number of digits from your phone number or order number) that show it actually leaving Asia on Monday.

Many people freak out when Apple hasn't said "Shipping" just days before it is supposed to be at your house. 99+% of phones will arrive on Friday if that is the date Apple says it will deliver. UPS can deliver on Friday if they ship it out of Asia on Thursday. Your phone will arrive on Friday whether UPS reports it leaving Asia on Monday or Thursday. It is just a matter of where it sits during the week- early shipments will sit in Louisville with no updates until Thursday and shipments that leave Asia on Thursday will sit in Asia during that time. Weather issues in your region may impact your delivery if they can't drive or fly it to your local UPS center.

You will not believe the number of pages next week of people thinking they won't get their phones, and on Friday evening almost everyone will have taken delivery.

It is nice to have folks with whom to commiserate and celebrate as the phones make their way to their new homes!

Wouldn't it be helpful if posts like this would be required reading for the dozens of people who will be asking next Wednesday about why their phone "hasn't shipped yet"? lol

It does pad the numbers of pages of posts, that's for sure!

Not IUP so can't be that but I did preload my order last night which I believe is the problem. My new order has a lower order number than my order from this morning which doesn't seem right.

Received confirmation emails at 5:05 and 5:06 PT, both for 9/25 delivery and still at “Processing.” Looks like at least for the 17Pro Deep Blue 1TB, I could get launch day delivery if I were ordering now. I am tempted to cancel and reorder but leaning toward just waiting and hoping it updates to give us launch day delivery.

I got my order in at 6:03am or 6:04AM, got my conformation email at 6:06am (two minutes after I actually submitted.) I also have the 9/25 delivery date which I am bummed about but am hoping I get bumped up to launch day. I am thankful though I don't have a Oct delivery date. First time I decided to get the flagship color...Orange is not usually my thaannngggg but I when will I have another chance at having an orange iPhone since I'm in the IUP?!?

Yeah I’m thankful aswell. October delivery would have been more of a pain. Hopefully other 25th people get lucky. I ordered about 8 minutes past start time. Weirdly enough didn’t get confirmation email til 8:20AM EST.

Helpful for sure - maybe ask for it to be pinned to the top? It gets to a point that there's so many pages to read, people just keep asking the same questions because it's easier than going through 100+ pages. To me, its part of the fun to help.

Some of us ordered at 8:02-8:05 and got a 9/25 delivery date…..yet, some ordered at 8:30 and got 9/19 delivery.

As others are saying it very likely could be a glitch some ordered within 1-2 minutes of preorders starting and got the 25th. Definitely high chance they get bumped up to launch day but even then waiting just a few more days isn’t awful. What makes it strange though is you’d always get a date range not such a specific date like this.

Please let me know if this works. I got nervous and purchased the unlocked version to use with mint mobile. I would like to use Apple Card financing with the T-Mobile version but don’t know if I would have issues with activation on prepaid/MINT.

I did that last year and it worked, so did it again this year too. Well see what happens with I get my phone the 25th.

I mentioned in another comment but I don’t recall Apple ever giving a solid day for delivery other than than launch day. If it’s not launch day you’re given a range of possible dates. Definitely a good chance others with the 25th get bumped to launch day. We’ll find out soon enough.

And they billed me instantly. Whereas the 8:02am one DIDN'T bill at all yet. I think if you can, you 9/25 people should reorder if 9/19 delivery is still showing AND they didn't already bill you.

Ordered a 17PM 256gb silver at 7:01 AM on the Apple website for in-store pickup 9/19 first thing in the morning. Was a surprisingly smooth process today. I've done shipping the past few years and miss the launch day hype of store pick up.
