I wonder if the shipping date for people who pre prepared their preorder was based on the order in which they pre prepared their preorder.

I accidentally ordered a phone with the wrong card. So I ordered another one. The first order moved to preparing. Which I was then able to cancel. The second still says order placed. Both were set to arrive the 19th.

What was weird is that when my app did finally open it pulled a pop up with the order page not the phone I had set up for preorder so I got out of that and to the for you page and went from there
 
Anyone in the launch day delivery still in the processing page I’m hoping the glitch will prove itself by updating to preparing with someone with a 9/19 delivery order
 
I didn’t get into the store until almost 10 minutes after 5am pacific. I had a pre-order 17pro 512gb blue that I placed when pre-orders opened up. Added a 17 pro max 256 blue for my MIL a day or two later. Both were no carrier selected. Both went through with a Sep 19 delivery. Got confirmation emails about 10 minutes later.
 
Cancelled my 8:02am preorder that showed 9/25 for a 256GB Blue and reordered just now, 9/19 delivery

And they billed me instantly. Whereas the 8:02am one DIDN'T bill at all yet. I think if you can, you 9/25 people should reorder if 9/19 delivery is still showing AND they didn't already bill you.

You convinced me - I just canceled and reordered both phones. Still showing “processing,” but now showing launch day delivery.
 
This pre-order did not go well.

Somehow I placed two orders instead of 1. One phone is a pickup the other is being shipped.

The pickup phone was out on my Apple Card but not Apple Pay so I would not get the full 3% Apple Cash.

The other phone was done correctly through Apple Pay but is being delivered.

I called Apple and after 20 minutes on hold they cannot correct any of it or cancel the 2nd order.

I know I selected in-store pick up for the second order, but somehow it got changed to shipping via UPS.

The send order cannot be cancelled as it’s preparing to ship.

I assume these weren’t IUP orders?

That’s my concern with cancelling, I don’t think I can redo the program right away.

You see that just doesn’t make sense you ordered the exact same pro max configuration after me and got a 9/19 date it really must be a glitch then
 
The enthusiasts this year, aren't ordering the 17 Pro, they are ordering the 17 PM. Hence why the process was much more manageable for you...as per the comments in this forum.
Having had the 11 Pro Max, the 15 Pro Max and buying the 16 Pro Max for my kid... I really don't understand why people aren't more concerned about these PM phones getting bigger and heavier. I don't get it but hey if it makes them happy...
 
I was delayed in getting in the store and got a 9/25 date. I just went through the store app and it’s showing a 10/6-10/13 delivery date for the 256 gb Max Pro but a 9/19 pickup date for the nearest store to me 2 hours away.

I really doubt it's demand considering people who ordered after got 9/19 dates. Going with a glitch. The app opened for me at 8 a.m. on the dot. Order placed and email notification at 8 a.m. 9/25 delivery date.
Yeah glitch is most likely especially when you’d expect a date range not a specific date like launch day on the 19th.
 
This was my thought as well. It shows processing. I never got a charge at 8:02am, this time I did. Unless it's already preparing to ship. Not sure.
I preordered and when I finalized my order. I got charged right away (within 1-2 min).

Mine shows 9-19 express shipping.

Out 2 Airs say express shipping too; 19th.
 
Uh...sure...but bug fixes/point releases won't really fix the OS entirely...just patch updates

Oh definitely. It’s just some of the visual issues between iOS/iPadOS that I’m hoping that once the masses get their hands on it, they’ll see it and hopefully Apple can get them fixed by then.

apples whole system is glitched today I went to look at the upgrade program tab just for the kick of it it says something went wrong but when I search it and click check eligibility it says pending
