You'd think there's some value. We're guaranteed yearly adopters, we are forced to pay for AppleCare (now the Theft and Loss version), and they're getting a year-old device back, usually in near pristine condition that they can flip while we ate the depreciation. On top of that, I'd venture to say that many of us iUP-pers probably splurge on Apple Accessories too. I am sure it's not all sunshine and rainbows, but certainly it can't be all bad.

I canceled my 9/25 order and replaced it with a 9/19 order. I know the 9/25 order more than likely would've been moved up, but I'm too impatient.

I got in the app at 8:07 and it showed a 9/25 delivery date so I decided to do the ISPU. after reading the posts here, I just reordered the same phone and got a 9/19 delivery date. Both phones are processing. It doesn't give me the option to cancel the first order.

What will happen if I just don't pick up the ISPU one? Apple already charged my card the taxes for both phones.

I just cancelled my IUP order, waited about 10 mins and was able to reorder with no issues for delivery on the 19th!

I think the post I was replying to was saying iUP was bad for Apple, but I see what you're saying. For me, I would be paying for AppleCare either way, so it's a non-issue for me. But I know that's not everyone's decision if they had the choice. The only spot where I wonder "what if", is if I could sell my year old device for more than I paid in over the 12 payments I made and apply it to the next years phone. Even if I could, it's not worth the hassle and iUP is straight forward.

I'm curious, why the 2TB size?

I get a new phone every other year on average. My wife, who doesn't care as much about phones, always takes my old one. I buy it with my Apple Card with the interest free 24 payments. The difference of $17 per month in the payment and not having to worry about storage is worth it to me.

Yes, if you purchase an iPhone through Apple's Apple Card Monthly Installments (ACMI) program and select T-Mobile (or Verizon) at checkout, the phone will generally arrive unlocked, allowing you to switch to any carrier that supports eSIM later. You need an active T-Mobile number to complete the initial purchase and setup, but you can bypass the carrier activation process by selecting the "Continue" or "Set up later" option multiple times

I’m using IUP. I switched to Mint halfway through my cycle and never heard any issues. Phone works fine. I just ordered the 17 pro with IUP again and selected T-MOBILE. We will see if I run into any issues.

Since there is zero commitment and T-Mobile owns mint. There should hopefully not be an issue.

That’s crazy! I tried to do this but it says I can’t get any combo of the phone I want (storage or color doesn’t matter) until oct 6-13! I ordered like 6 minutes after opening since the app wouldn’t let me in til then 🤷‍♀️ that’s awesome it worked for you though!

Sheesh! Sorry man. I’m only a blue and silver pro both 256 (wife and I).

I’m waiting on her eligibility to reset now like I had to wait for mine to reorder her silver but it’s still showing 9/19 so hopefully that sticks.

25th delivery, Apple Store already been updated to pending shipment… praying it’s a glitch for delivery as I ordered within 2-3 min for a base 17..

Is it too late to change to pick up I’m guessing.

I think this is the first time in probably 7 or 8 years I won't have launch day delivery. Sorta lame but not the end of the world. I just don't get how they shifted dates so soon, my order was in at 8:03 and it was already pushed to the 25th. Makes no sense.

Oh I am fairly confident it will.

But I think this snafu is outside of the usual experience where some people got a later delivery date and it moved forward from years passed. It never showed a later delivery date the moment the store opened at 8 am. Always showed launch day delivery.

Also it is very strange that my local stores also showed zero availability at all. None. Not even pick up on a later date.

Same here. Ordered 2 phones PRO MAX orange and silver at 5:01. Don’t think I've could've ordered any faster. 9/25 delivery date. No charges so far. On the T Mobile website you can still pre order for launch day. Hoping it’s a glitch on the apple end.

I do think the lot of people (myself included) who got the 9/25 delivery dates will see that moved up to 9/19. We'll see. Either way, I can wait a few extra days.
