This is crazy....here is my experience:

• used Apple's recommended pre-order suggestion to place my order through the Apple Store app on my iPad and got a delivery date of 9/25/25 - order was placed at 5:10am PT according to Apple's confirmation email...

• then, placed another for the same exact iPhone manually and did an in-store pick-up for 9/20/25 and the order was placed at 5:27am PT!!! WTF?!?!??!

C'mon Apple!!!

At least their website didn't crash....

I've ordered the 17 pro max, cosmically conscious orange, delivers 9/25. The ship date works for me; I've waited this long.

Is anyone else not able to choose pickup?

Yes, it won't let me pick up at the store which is 4 miles away from my house. I even tried paying straight with a personal credit card instead of my Apple card...I had to opt for delivery and mail in my trade in. I plan on visiting the store instead after I receive the new one because I don't trust mail in service.

Finally, the veterans site popped up almost 28 minutes after the hour and when I finally ordered it, the delivery date moved now to the 29 September /3 October. So I didn’t go through with it, but luckily I went with the normal site on my phone earlier and I got the 25th delivery date. That cost me $120 extra because I no longer get the veteran discount. Thank you, Apple.

8:02AM Deep Blue Pro Max 256 - 9/25 Delivery
8:04AM Silver Pro 256 - 9/25 Delivery

Both were preordered and ready to go with 1UP program. After checkout both were available to place again with 9/19 delivery. It took until 8:30 to show the Deep Blue PM as not available 9/19 and the Silver Pro is still available for 9/19. I am certain they will bump these early orders up.

I just checked the app. The silver and blue phones still show available for 9/19 in store pick up. No orange.....

Don't worry. There will be a lot of Orange returns once people get them in hand. Its obviously by location as I can see them in pretty much all stores near me for either 9/19 or 9/20.

got in at 7:04am Central Time (4 min after opening). iPhone 17 Pro Max 2TB Blue. delivery for Sep 25th. So either all of that configuration starts delivery on Sep 25th or they had very very few for Sep 19 delivery

Yeah all the colors looked great on the Air. I went with black for that ultra thin stealth look.

I had black this year, and haven't had a white Apple anything in years, I've been on the color kick ever since the purple 12. You won't be disappointed in the black, the way the screen blends into the edges looks amazing.

Got in at 5:02 Cupertino time. Finished purchasing a pro and pro max at about 5:04 for 9/19 delivery.

I have no idea why people who ordered before me are getting theirs 9/25 which I would've actually preferred due to travel and needing a neighbor to sign for me on 9/19.

This was the smoothest year ever, and I liked how my second order prepopulated a combined shipment option which I went ahead and did. Next year maybe they'll allow multiple iPhones in a single preorder ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Now I can't go back to sleep dang it!

I'm curious, why the 2TB size?

I went 2TB. I have the 1TB currently and have a 4K 360 camera, when on holiday that thing can chew through storage so just will give me more space for that while still having a good selection of TV Show's or Movies for flights and so on.

I don't absolutely need it but can afford it so why not.

Even though I selected in store pickup with time slot, the site is telling me I can't do in-store trade in and they will send me the kit. Is this the case for everybody?

So did I. And this is a big reason why. If I decide to switch it, I wait until January after the holiday replenishment.
