Helpful for sure - maybe ask for it to be pinned to the top? It gets to a point that there's so many pages to read, people just keep asking the same questions because it's easier than going through 100+ pages. To me, its part of the fun to help.
Who would be pinning it to the top? And who would be reading the first page of the thread? lol I don't think anyone starts at the beginning when there are more than two or three pages in the thread.

I love helping, and I know how many people will be stressing next week as they think it's Apple's shipping notice that matters. If their stuff is flying in from Asia they will go into Thursday thinking their iPhone won't be delivered on Friday. If you know that no one's Apple Order Status goes beyond "preparing to ship" until "Shipping" is reported on Thursday evening, then you know it's not a big deal. But all those pages of posts next week are from sad and distressed people who don't know.

People who have ordered for In Store Pickup, or from their carrier, will be confused as they read the tracking stories and don't get to watch their iPhones on UPS 747s flying over the Pacific Ocean.

Those of us who've been reading and contributing to these launch day threads for over a decade can lend an ear and a helping hand. We've walked the trail and completed the journey, and have a sense of how it goes. lol

It is rare that Apple and UPS miss their targeted date, though it does happen. The phones will soon be in our hands, though definitely not soon enough!

I haven't done in store pickup in over a decade, can someone help me understand: Just how 'locked in' is the pickup date? Is there a history of some orders getting delayed as we get into next week? My iPhones say they'll be ready for pickup on release day at the moment

Now that the dust has settled I'm wondering if we can all agree this year's pre-order experience was not as smooth as previous years. The problem I ran into was in store pickup was 'unavailable' for every iPhone, so I had to re-order 5-10 minutes later when in store pickup suddenly started working. I saw a ton of people reporting their Pro orders all say 9/25 even though they ordered super quickly -- I'd like to believe a significant chunk of these orders will get pulled up to release day.

Agree - it was a hot mess!

My pre chosen phone & accessories w/ payment approved this morning 3 minutes after opening, got 9/25 delivery.

I was bummed so I placed a manual web order 10 minutes later having to choose all the details and trade in - got 9/19 ISPU.

Will see if the 9/25 gets bumped to 9/19 in the next 6 days.

Which ever is the slower, gets returned on Apple's dime.

It's my way of saying "stop messing with those that have pre-selected, pre approved, and up at 5am".

Just saw this in a Reddit post. Maybe they will start changing for those of us who got in early like me and got a 9/25 delivery date.

The pickup phone was out on my Apple Card but not Apple Pay so I would not get the full 3% Apple Cash.
My experience has always been that anything billed to my Apple Card from Apple whether its Apple Pay, physical card or card number has always still given me the 3%. I get the 3% back on my monthly subscriptions for AppleCare One, Apple Music & iCloud all are just using the card number so it shouldn't make a difference, it even works when purchasing from Apple when overseas!
