If you are smart enough to make a carrier bundle, please make one. I'm sure there are many people on here who would pay to get the file, especially for AT&T.

well does anyone still have a jailbroken iphone running 2.2.1 with t-mobile germany? there should be a TMobile_Germany.bundle in /System/Library/Carrier Bundles/ then..

People you cannot just download the bundle instal and expect it to work. You have to add the missing keys/pairs there is enough info on Twitter.com/timmeh and twitter.com/ericasadun to make your own

Yeah, I've seen you on Twitter. But it would be easier to have an official bundle which we can modify than to build one from scratch...

yeah, but i want the TMobile_Germany.bundle so that i dont have to write everything from scratch..

I just hope that all of these companies realize that on an "unlimited" plan (even if it is a soft-cap of 5GB) a few hundred megs or even 1 or 2GB of tethered traffic isn't going to make much of a difference and not charge for light tethering. Especially if you're not going over the 5GB soft-cap anyway.

Hopefully the app works without a tethering plan and i can use ~1GB per month tethered without incurring additional charges. Or AT&T can tier their data plans and combine handset and tethered data: $30 for 5GB, $45 for 10GB and $60 for unlimited.

They have realized that already but they are drove by greed like always. You will pay for 5gb data and use 1gb. They are winners again unfortunately.

I made a TMobile_de.ipcc
I also enable thether, but i can't test this since i got a dutch iphone myself
So try this at your own risk...

I got the carrier.plist from here

http://synapps.de/files/carrier.plist_.txt

And used other files from my own TMobile_nl.ipcc...

Is there todo sync on 3.0

I can see there're a lot of developers on this forum. Did u guys see todo sync on the iphone 3.0?

I hope it's there!!

p-J, what exactly did you change in the dutch t-mobile carrier plist? I'm editing it right now, and I got an extra "Data cellular settings" on the Settings > General > Network in my iPhone.

@jroen

I only changed this

317ba00.png

And added the AllowEDGEEditing in the root...
I'm also getting "Data cellular settings"
But further down i got the "Internet Tethering".

Edit: Like tvdn mentioned below, you dont have to add the Item 1 dictionary, just use the internet apn already in there...

p-J,

Did you get MMS working on T-Mobile NL? I am also with T-Mobile NL, and I was just wondering if you managed to get it working. I can compose MMS messages, but cannot send them...

Tethering works fine though!

-edit- BTW, you don't have to create a new dictonary under apn's. Just add the "type-mask=-2" to the current apn for internet.

tvdn,

I just tried MMS, but it's hanging at Sending...
So i think i got the same problem as you...
Which settings did you use?

Bluetooth profile works fine... I don't see A2DP on the services though.

It's PAN not DUN so that rules out connecting it to the tomtom :( - OTOH I'm half convinced already it's worth porting pand to the tomtom...

The German bundle from p-j is a good start. I did not get it working yet but I think I'm getting closer...

I got tethering to work over AT&T, check this and this out. This message is being posted by a AT&T iPhone 3G tethered to a PowerBook G4

p-J,

Here are the MMS settings i used so far:

<key>AllowMMSCEditing</key>
<true/>
<key>AllowMMSEditing</key>
<true/>
<key>mms_proxy</key>
<string>10.10.10.11</string>
<key>mms_proxy_port</key>
<string>8080</string>
<key>mmsc</key>
<string>http://t-mobilemms</string>

Oke thanks, im using the same, expect i also got this apn added...

<dict>
<key>apn</key>
<string>mms</string>
<key>password</key>
<string>tmobilemms</string>
<key>username</key>
<string>tmobilemms</string>
</dict>

No luck yet :(

Edit:

This are the settings as they are on the website...
Notice the strange proxy? I've tried that proxy too now but still the same.
