Vaja Debuts iVolution Stripes 2 for 3G (9/24)

Ok, I'm seriously considering ordering one of these. But I need to know (for those of you who have it), is it easy to take in/out of the case?

I'm also having trouble deciding which colors to get. I'm kinda liking dark blue w/white strip and black w/vibrant green stripe. Ahhh, this is so frustrating.

EDIT: I went ahead an ordered the SP, black with vibrant green stripe. No clip. I was about to get my last name personalized, but then realized I would have a much better chance of selling the case after a new phone came out if it didn't have my name on it.

I can't believe I just spend $102 on a phone case. Someone talk me out of canceling my order (if that's even possible).

Generation 1 iphone slides in and out (IVolution Grip) no problem.

You'll love how the case feels and looks. The leather quality, fit & finish is top notch.

Ok thanks. Now I'm just debating as to whether or not I should get a clip. On the site it says you have 24 hours to change/cancel your order.

Thanks to this blasted thread, I've plunked down $102.00 that I didn't need to spend, to get one of these gorgeous cases! I originally ordered the Black w/ Dark Blue stripe, which is nice. However, after seeing the Black w/ Rosso (Red) from that YouTube video posted, I have decided to change my order to that combination. I've E-mailed them, and believe I am within the 24 Hour period to make the change. I hope so. Either way, if not, I still know that I'm getting a beautiful case. The only problem is the waiting!

And last, why on the site is the Vaja name in white on th back of the case but when you get the case its all black ?

here is the one i had for my first gen phone...
black and dusty olive/khaki, understated, business-like. sold on ebay this week. interestingly, lots of folks watching the bidding.

Black with Vibrant Orange stripe (I have a weakness for orange, one of the only colors my little color-blind eyes can see)

$102 here as well (after $17 for shipping)

I hope the lid is not too bothersome in the long run, as some others have stated. Either way, I will not mind that much, lest I regret spending $120 on an iPhone case. I would never be able to forgive myself .

I have asked this question once before, and was told that it indeed does take around 45 days.

I ordered the ivolution sp on the day it was released (4 July) and still no despatch email.

as noted above, my first gen case took exactly what they estimated for delivery time. I think it was 30 days back then. For 3G anything less than 45 days will be a treat. So we'll just have to be patient, try some apps and listen to music while those, long minutes tick away,

For those of you in the queue ahead of the rest of us... post some pics when your case arrives...

I decided to keep my order of the black case with vibrant green stripe. Although the more I think about it, the more I start to feel like an idiot for spending over $100 on a phone case.

Oh well, if it will last me and I'm happy with it, I won't care.

Yes it looks like they just discontinued a number of their first gen iphone cases just in the past day or so -- bummer!

But, do what I did -- order the Top (same as SP, only stripeless) in classic black, with or without a belt clip and get it in a couple of days -- no waiting! They keep those in stock, along with the Special Edition (pebbled weathered brown --gorgeous) Top. Why wait or buy a used SP?

How does the lip catch wear on the SP case does it become loose overtime as the leather stretches or would it potentially scratch the plastic 3G case or chrome bezel ?

Listen, first gen Vaja owners -- is the leather covering some kind of plastic or is it metal? If it is metal, might that negatively impact reception -- especially for the 3G version of the phone?

Leather over hard plastic on Generation 1 Ivolution Grip. I Emailed and asked before I ordered the case last year. Works great.

My Generation 1 phone has scratches on the chrome bezel but not from the case per say. It is in and out of my pocket, brief case, or jacket that it is general wear and tear. Pretty normal IMO.

It's gonna scratch if you use it. My Treo's, BB's, and various Moto's all scratched because, guess what, they got used.
