Thanks for pointing out that cases.com has Vaja in stock. I couldn't bring myself to paying $150 premium over the ivolution top for the Agenda where the only real difference is a cover with stands bult in, (but hey thats me) but I avoided the long wait and got the limited edition ivolution in black and red.

Oh, and if you go to retailmenot.com and look-up the cases.com store you'll find active 15% off coupons. For those that want the Agenda in the limited choices, it brings the price down to $254. Have to add shipping of course.

Ordered my ivolution this morning, got my fedex tracking 5 hours later.

you're welcome! which one did you pick?

By the time we get our cases from Vaja, the new ipad will be out :p

I know you were joking about this... but what you say does have some substance. Devices like this... if you listen to people like Gartner, have a 18 month life. If Vaja takes 90 days to get you a case... 1/6 of the life of the case is lost... it's hard enough to justify a 250.00 case for a device that is likely to get upgraded and the form factor changing in 12 to 24 months, but you have to add this too....

great thanks! Looking forward to see them (I guess it is part of your satisfaction to tease us too ;-) )

Where did you buy it, from cases or vaja? Could you describe your purchase experience?

I bought the Agenda from cases.com. I've been a customer of cases.com for years, and they are great to deal with. They always have a 15% off coupon floating around the internet (just google). And they ship fast. They are based out of Colorado, and can ship regular mail meaning even if you are on the east coast you will still receive your order within 3 days.

Now on to the case... It is beautiful!!! The black/black looks very professional, and is not as "in your face" as some of the other color combos, at least for my workplace. The case is made up of 2 different textures of leather. The majority of the exterior is that "bumpy", pebble type of leather. You can also tell there is a thin piece of padding under the leather. Its not fixed directly to plastic. The other type of leather is that smooth leather. The flaps work as designed and there are magnets underneath the leather behind the flaps to keep them down when not in use.

Everything about this case is high quality and I do not regret the $265 (including the 15% off) purchase at all. Vaja makes beautiful pieces and cases.com is the only site I will buy Vaja pieces from.

I hope this helps you in your decision making ;)

I just want an iPad....(PERIOD!!!!)
After that, I will consider purchasing an iPad case...

Dear Mom & Dad...
Can I get one...please??
I just want to be a child again...
haha

Gorgeous indeed!
so tempted, but in the same time I bought a 16GB wifi knowing I would change as soon as the next ipad comes...
on the last picture it seems that some rear part of the ipad is exposed; do you worry that it would eventually scratch there?
Did you have the apple case before, did you gain/lose in usability?

The iPad really isn't exposed at the bottom, it was more the angle in which I took the picture. I don't worry about scratches at all when in this case. Not to mention I have Bodyguardz adhered to my iPad. Which made it a very very tight fit in the Vaja case.

On to your second question, yes I have the Apple case and I feel didn't lose any usability, its just slightly different.

Still didn't take the plunge. Is there any chance cases.com will get any other colours?

Not to sure if I want to wrap my iPad in a case so I ordered a Vaja iVolution grip in black/black.
Excited to see the quality. I am a bug fan of stitched leather.

you never used the apple case and enjoyed the typing position?

Actually out of the plethora of Chinese cases the official iPad one actually is the best. Too bad it costs $120 here. I've asked a friend visiting the US to pick one up for me. But still not too sure if I want to commit to a case.

This is my make shift stand while at the cafe lol works well

Wow that's a pretty expensive stand actually ;-)
Eh eh you make a point there's always a way to make a DYI stand. To carry the stand with you all the time integrated in the case, that is the question...

What I also find useful in the apple case is the sort of triangle created by the front cover which helps me to hold it with one hand when I'm lying in the bed...

Damn apple, why not using some quality components to make yours???

Just Received Mine!

I just received mine today. It was here since Monday, but I was never notified...grrrr.

Anyway, I also have an Orbino, which gets a LOT of compliments. I wanted the Vaja Agenda because it opens like a book, disguising the iPad even better. It literally looks like you are carrying a notebook. Only the discerning eye would notice it's an iPad.

For the first time, I feel comfortable possibly using my iPad (as a book) on the NYC subway in THIS case. I've seen people reading Kindles in leather cases, and I assumed they were books until seeing them up close.

BTW, if time allows, I'll post pics of both the Obino and Vaja side-by-side.

So it would appear that the color combo has everything to do with the turn around time for these things.

The OP says he ordered on the 4th of June and has had case for a week. Mine was ordered on May 24th and they are still telling me another week.

I wonder if the orders that took advantage of the 15% coupon got pushed aside for the ones that paid full price?

(Taking tin foil hat off now. I just really want my case)

I have never seen Vaja miss dates by his much. Perhaps the were all working on cases for cases.com, and now they will catch up?..

Dont forget that they have to deal with iphone4 too... I'm waiting mine!
They probably expanded too much their catalog but not staff behind to craft it?... Or all cows are already dead! ;-(

Can one of you current agenda owners please tell me how easy it is to pop your iPad in and out? I have the dock and wish to retain its use. If the removal is difficult or perhaps going to slowly wear out the fit I may try the Retro Slim Jacket.

TIA

The big question I have for those that have got this case in hand is how it sits in your lap. I've been using the Apple case for quite some time now and love the angle in my lap when flipping back to low profile incline mode. My girlfriend has ordered me this case and I'm concerned that it means I won't be able to comfortably use it in my lap as I'm used to.
