Stoked for this; but I can't help but be a tad pessimistic about how OS X's sub-part driver's will handle these games.
The 9400M G is prime GPU power.
Any mouse.... buy a Razer for example Death Adder Mac.mac gaming mouse?
There is a dramatic loss of value in Apple's mobile line up beyond the MacBook in my opinion. I don't consider Apple's desktops as viable for my needs. It is enough for many games, if you are a game probably you have an MBP, iMac, Mac Pro with a discrete, more powerfull gfxcard.
Hahah; you can't be serious?

I work in an Apple Premium reseller and after a demo, all loves mac even who was thinking it was a stupid os, anyway a large increasing of users ask for Counter Strike / Steam, usually young guys and they are not happy with crossover/Bootcamp solution. So i think this statement in true.
For sure Steam is a important software to have.

The iMac never had an 8800GT.A friends of mine use an iMac 24" 8800GT since many years now especially for gaming. Last iMacs have good gfx card too. they may not be the top on the market but 99% don't need that gfx power.
Bad Company 2 isn't under OS X either and lets not consider doing so on a GeForce 320M much less the 9400M G.That's really because you already own a MacBook...

The 8800GT is nearly a three year old part and the 4850 is nearing two.

Many years? The 8800GT has only been around for about two and a half years (was only released in late '07 around oct/nov on the PC side; dunno how long it's been on the Mac side). With that said, yes the 8800 series is definitely having an amazing run (myself I just replaced my 8800GTS in march); but with the latest round of games (Bad Company 2, Metro 2033 for example) it's run has basically come to an end. Also, has the iMac even had an 8800GT in it?
They claim to work for an Apple reseller as it is. I can terrify nearly every Apple store plebeian short of the Geniuses.Come on, you know only tech freaks like us can A, tell the difference B, discern from model numbers.
The replacements don't offer incentive to upgrade from my Macbook. Bad Company 2 is now my minimum requirement for purchasing a new notebook and the M11x looks like the appropriate choice in order to run this application. I'll wait for a Core i5 UM + nVidia Optimus update though. How does that relate to "That's only because you already own a MacBook"?
8800M GTSIt had an 8800GS at one point.

i just want to say how much i love the "steam play" concept... buy once, play anywhere. all software should be like this.
it is absolutely ridiculous that i have to buy 2 different versions of any Adobe (and most other's) product. insane.
i bought photoshop. it should work on my computer. WTF difference does it make which computer?
and don't get me started on "per seat licenses" ... it's MY application, you idiots, not this stupid terminal's!![]()
Ah; for the record the 8800GS Apple used was quite a bit different from a proper 8800GT; having half the stream processors and slower clocks.

If you work for a reseller then you definitely should have customers coming in asking you if OS X does somethings that they need for <insert need here> and I guarantee you that they stumped you
