Carrier Verizon 2018 New iPhone Pre-Order Thread

I had that last year with the iPhone X (ordered directly through Verizon). Confirmation and email said release date, then the order status page said like a week or two later. It just shipped later in the week. I haven't received a shipping confirmation yet this year, but when I track the orders, there's the same tracking number on both and it's sitting in New Jersey right now (I'm on Long Island). FedEx Delivery Manager didn't alert me (which is strange), but I've never had an issue before and the shipping addresses are correct on the order. literally right after I posted I got an email with tracking for my Xs lol, hoping to see movement for the Max within the next few days. if not I'm cool with it, it's my hubby's not mine

My boyfriend keeps trying to convince me to cancel my iPhone XS Max order and get a Samsung Galaxy Note 9. That's never going to happen. I love Apple way too much and in my opinion Apple is better.

so if we leave a little note for Fedex on our door with the tracking number and our signature they'll leave it there? I live in an upstairs apartment so I'm not worried. I'll be home it's just in case I don't hear the knock or something it's happened here and there.

Over the years, FedEx has always left my packages for me if I leave a note with my signature and tracking number. You should be fine that way.

Ordered 12:09 XS Max 256 Space Gray. Just got shipping information and scheduled for delivery Wednesday 8/19/2018 by 8:00 P.M. Expect the date will change, but would be nice to get it on Wednesday.

FedEx has mine for overnight delivery but a big red note not to deliver until scheduled delivery date.

Paypal sent me a email notification at 4:43pm, I ordered my phones at 3:15pm Friday.
but it was just the one charge for the Xs, still waiting for the Max charge.

Ok the 4th time is a charm. For the 4th time and the for the 1st time using Chat, I got the upgrade fee waived! I never worked so hard on thinking of sweet things to say to get what I wanted. LOL

The good thing about getting it through chat is that I can copy the conversation and keep in case later the fee isn't removed.

I just talked with a Xs rep via chat. They told me that they will charge the upgrade fees to my account and they will wave them.

Xs Max Gold 256gb here, ordered at 12:30am ET .. Have not received any email from Verizon, no change in my bank account. I saw a lil change on my Verizon account purchases (old order *iphone 8 plus* disappeared) today. Expecting for an email and update on my order through Verizon app tomorrow or wednesday. Question, has anyone of you tried using the Fedex delivery manager by changing the delivery into "pick up to nearest fedex location"?

No. They've been very good about getting them to folks on time for the past few years I've been ordering from them. I am still waiting for movement (charge/tracking) for mine which I got minutes after they were available.

I’ve been pre-ordering for about 4-5 years now and this happens every year. A lot of times, accounts won’t get charged until Monday or Tuesday and then we get movement on the phones Wednesday or sometimes even late Thursday night. I’ve had my phone not move until Thursday night and I still got it on launch day.

Yeah same thing, don't think I have ever had a late shipment.

This time though there was an issue with my payment card for some reason that I had to update, we'll see if that delays anything.

Yeah same here when I was with AT&T. This time as a new VZW customer I don't think I will get launch day phones. 64gb Max silver showed 9/21 shipment but 64gb Max gold showed 10/10 - and the order status with VZW shows 10/10. I guess they can't start service with just one phone. Oh well.....
