For the people getting the $30 activation waived or accredited to your account, what magical words do you have to tell them in order for them to have it waived or accredited? Just wondering for future reference, Thank you in advance!
 
Okay, so now I have a location code and such. Very different from the page I was looking at before. Is this a different page or is this a sign of movement?

I had no luck, but I think the key is to be honest with them. Just say that you understand they have to do their job, but that you know for a fact they are able to waive the fee.
 
I don’t see a lot of people being charged yet for the 64gb maxes. I ordered the gold 64 Max and haven’t been charged yet has anyone else?

Also business account. In my experience those show pending until Thursday. May be location based. I am in NC.

It's just a matter of luck, really. It all depends on the rep. I was straighforward when I asked via the app chat. I asked if the upgrade fee can be waived. He offered $15. I said I would appreciate a full credit considering I've been a loyal customer. He checked my records and said I have a point and he gave me the credit.
 
Had anyone with the status of pending and an "estimated to ship" date of 9/21 been charged yet?

I ordered my iPhone XS Max 256 gold on Friday 9/14 around 3:00 pm.

Haven't really been following anything. Is This Friday the release date, meaning that's when they'll have them in stores? Or is it just when pre-orders are expecting to be shipped. I'm off Friday so I could just go to the store when they open to purchase one if that's the case

I had mine waived and just ordered a watch had it waived on that as well and the $50 off credit added even though I ordered at 2 different times and I had 2 different reps
 
Alright so I just called again. The person I spoke to said they couldnt do it yet because I havent been charged, but that as soon as I am charged, I just have to call again to get the fee waived and that they put a note on my account

I told them that I’ve been a customer for a long time and have ordered new phones almost every year and that I’ve seen other people get their fees waived and then they agreed to waive it
 
Max 256GB Gold shows processing. Just contacted them via live chat about the upgrade fee. I just said I have been a loyal customer for 15 years and would appreciate if the fee was waived and they said no problem.... easy enough.
 
I guess misery loves company. :)
I’m glad to see that I am not the only one that still shows status as PENDING. It is driving me crazy seeing all these shipping notifications! :)

I went through Live Chat. I told the rep I had an issue during the preorder process and that it took a lot longer than usual (which was true). My preorder actually switched from an iPhone XS Max to an iPhone XS in my cart (probably a session issue). I also said I've been a loyal customer for years and was there anyway they could waive the fees (I preordered an iPhone XS 256GB Silver for my wife, and an iPhone XS Max 256GB or myself). They came back and said they could waive one of the two (which is what seems to happen every year), but they applied it as a $30 bill credit and I got a text and an email in the overnight confirming it.
 
just checked my order status and there's no estimated delivery date on there (new customer coming from T-Mobile), last I checked it had a general delivery date of 10/03 for the order since I ordered at 64gb Space Gray Xs Max. But they charged me for my 64gb Gold Xs yesterday which from the get go I had a delivery date for 9/21 individually. wondering what it means.:confused:

I had that last year with the iPhone X (ordered directly through Verizon). Confirmation and email said release date, then the order status page said like a week or two later. It just shipped later in the week. I haven't received a shipping confirmation yet this year, but when I track the orders, there's the same tracking number on both and it's sitting in New Jersey right now (I'm on Long Island). FedEx Delivery Manager didn't alert me (which is strange), but I've never had an issue before and the shipping addresses are correct on the order.
