Does activation happen quicker if I switch my old sim from my iPhone X to me new iPhone XS MAX?
I didn’t swap mine. I turned the phone on and it connected with my old one and downloaded the backup easy. My new one has all my stuff exactly the same. And I got text messages right away.

I received my SIM free XS this morning and just inserted the Verizon SIM from my iPhone 7 before I switched on the XS. Worked like a charm, no activation necessary.

That’s all done on Verizons end. They give the watch the phone number and pair it with the correct device for the calls.

I used the SIM from my iPhone 7 to start up my SIM free XS. As I restored from back-up of my 7 I was asked on the screen if I want to pair my watch with the new phone and it automatically did so. From a Verizon perspective the watch is linked to the number of my phone. As I used my old SIM no further steps were needed.

FedEx claims my phone was delivered at 9:22 am to a front desk/receiptionist signed in my name but it was suppose to be delivered to my house and it’s no where to be found...

Mine's not activating. It asked me to call some number, I don't have time for that, I'm working today. This needs to just activate, why are there always issues with this, drives me crazy. To quote the great Dark Helmet, "F*!! Even in the FUTURE nothing works!!" :D
Same problem here.

Verizon is really letting me down this time, never had any horrible activation issues like this in the past. Ive confirmed my zip and pin is correct multiple times and even was escalated to tier 2 support with no fix in sight.

Never had this much trouble getting a new phone activated on Verizons network before. They say in their system they can see my new xs plus thats registered to the new sim, but yet when I try to enter my billing zip and pin it says it cannot verify, and the call to customer support conveniently dropped when they told me to keep re entering my zip and pin even though it didn't work the first time.
Exactly this

Same here.

Missed the Fedex delivery by 3 minutes... I called them and they are going to attempt to redeliver on the same day. Anyone had any experience with this?

Contemplating returning this phone to Apple and walking across the street to T-Mobile. What a complete pile of trash.
I've been on tech support for over an hour now, with no possible fix in sight. I already have a call into an apple support engineer as well, they will be getting back to me within a couple of hours they said.

The thing that baffles me is that Verizon can see my new phone on their network on their end, just won't let the verification zip/pin work correctly.
