Never had this much trouble getting a new phone activated on Verizons network before. They say in their system they can see my new xs plus thats registered to the new sim, but yet when I try to enter my billing zip and pin it says it cannot verify, and the call to customer support conveniently dropped when they told me to keep re entering my zip and pin even though it didn't work the first time.

I AM F’ING LIVID WITH FED EX. They said they attempted a delivery and no one has showed up. I am supposed to get the phone shipped to my job. ITS A 24 hour BUISNESS. I’m so upset
 
Mine's not activating. It asked me to call some number, I don't have time for that, I'm working today. This needs to just activate, why are there always issues with this, drives me crazy. To quote the great Dark Helmet, "F*!! Even in the FUTURE nothing works!!" :D

Yeah I was frustrated too!! I thought activation would be easier.

Yes I have it. It’s awesome! It was just weird seeing left at my apartment door when I didn’t leave a signed release.
 
It's not totally necessary but it can help circumvent some of those issues.

It can actually cause more issues than help, because they have the new SIM tied to that phone in their system already for “quick” activation (when it works).

On Verizon business phones there’s a letter included that tells you to just turn on the phone to activate. There’s no zip/PIN entry, but you have to call a special number once you’ve turned it on. Then it deactivates the old SIM.

Call them! They did this with a package I was expecting and a supervisor had to call driver and make him come back. Be firm and don't take any answer they tell you. Speak to a manager or supervisor.

I have had that happen before. I can’t remember which iPhone delivery it was, but the driver came to my door, slapped the “sorry we missed you” slip on it, and left. He never tried to knock or ring the doorbell. I was at home all day waiting. It was infuriating.

Well I swapped SIMs and it activated just fine, no number to call. And the new phone shows up in Verizon’s system.
 
My Gold Xs Max 256GB just arrived! The FedEx guy said he is delivering only Apple today. So I guess there is another driver on my route delivering other stuff. Interesting.

The return packing and label for my old iPhone X came with the new phone. Cool!!
 
FedEx just delivered mine at 2:26! I'm not home to get it either! I left a signature release note on the door and he didn't even take it! I also left a note on my camera doorbell saying to press it. He did then left asap! I was going to ask him to place it in my car. My spouse was home asleep because of night shift work and I know he wouldn't hear the doorbell, but I was surprised and he did get it. I was so glad because by the time I was able to get to view the camera, the package was gone! I was afraid it was swiped that fast but all is good. Now I cannot wait to go home and play with my gold 256 MAX.

Not only did they never show up, which I can prove with my Ring Doorbell and Camera footage, but THERE WAS NO DOORTAG LEFT. I'M SO ANGRY. IT'S A LONG ASS DRIVE TO GET IT FROM THE CENTER AND THEY WON'T TRY AGAIN UNTIL MONDAY.

this is exactly why I don't get why Fedex won't hold packages for people what them to do that and one get it at their leisure.

That happened to me last year. Lazy drivers do that on purpose. Call fedex until they reroute the driver back. Bug the heck out of them.

I have a feeling it's because the front entrance to my neighborhood is closed for road repairs. THERE ARE SIGNS FOR A DETOUR. I'm on the phone now. SO LIVID.
 
My order date eventually disappeared, and now my wife’s XS has shipped but my XS Max is still sitting there “processing” with no ship date on it. So here I am again, 24 hours later, 99% sure my order got jacked up again.

If you still haven't gotten a shipment notification, try going to a Verizon store. I was able to walk in and buy 2 Maxs easily at 9AM.

It doesn't matter if the road is blocked. All iPhone deliveries coming from verizon (as far as I know) have contact info. A good driver will always attempt to contact the recepient. Call until someone knowledgeable gets ahold of the driver and schedules a second delivery the same day.

Already did. The first rep was useless, but I was transferred to a 'Customer Advocate' who was very apologetic and said they'd get the driver back here ASAP. They even asked for revised directions and my phone number so the drive can call me if need be. Still on edge after this. Literally everything that could have gone wrong this year did.
