Verizon 4S Preorder Status Thread

Yeah, I hope so. Mine's getting shipped to the store that I ordered it so I have no idea what to expect, especially since it's an affiliate of VZW.

That's interesting. I ordered the exact same phone in the exact same store on 11/1. But already got mine on 11/7.
How is that fair?
 
FYI for anyone wondering what the wait times are like for iPhone 4s using a Business/Enterprise Account.

They ordered my phone via web on 11/1 and it had a ship date scheduled for 11/11 and I received it today 11/09. This was for a White 16GB.
 
I just bought AppleCare+ this morning.
Just called Apple and they sold it to me over the phone.
No questions asked.
Just figured I'd let everybody know since there were some question marks.

Alright, good. I asked the VZW rep about it and she said I had to order online, which made no sense since you can't seem to.

I wish that I had been able to order online instead of at an affiliate store, because I probably would've got it already. Oh well, here's to hoping to god that it arrives tomorrow. I've been without a cell phone for about a week now. :/
 
Ordered a black 16gb from the Verizon web site yesterday afternoon. Just got the ship notification, and it should be here tomorrow by 3 pm.

Very nice.

So my 4S 64 Black order that was supposed to ship by 11/18. Just checked the status yesterday afternoon and it says that it was picked up yesterday 11/11 in the afternoon. It arrived in our Sorting location at around 6 in the morning and today is saturday. Even though the fedex tracking says monday, im not sure if it may come today.The sorting station is almost an hour away so I can't drive there to get it. Anyways, super psyched that my 4S is coming, especially that its coming early. Switched from Android to iOS. I have an itouch 64 3rd gen and a Droid X and Droid Charge, so im pretty ill be happy with everything, especially battery life. Android is notorious for bad battery and that is one of my main gripes with android.
 
What is everyone's experience with the accuracy of the expected ship dates? I put in my order a few days ago with an expected ship date of 12/9. That seems a bit excessive. Any other tips/ideas to get this ship date moved up? Are they pretty accurate?

Generally the dates seem to be fairly conservative ... for most people, I think the actual ship dates have been a little ahead of the expected ones. Personally, my iPhone ended up shipping two days before the "expected" date, and it arrived the day before it was originally scheduled to ship.

I bought mine on the 14th. Why can't you buy Applecare+ at the Apple Store????
 
Still waiting for mine. No idea what the status is, won't be here today, doubtful for tomorrow. I hope I get it before Thanksgiving.
 
Can I cancel my pre-order made through VZW and order through Apple.com? Looks like those are shipping much faster. Has anyone done this?
 
I ordered the black 16 GB from the Apple online store on 11/12. The status still says "processing items". It says ships 1-2 weeks, and delivers 11/28 - 12/5.

I also bought AppleCare + and that says complete, We’ve billed you for Apple services only. You will not receive a physical item.

Actually you may receive something. Apple sent me a letter as a proof of purchase/coverage a week later.

Frankly I hate paying more for these plans - but with a 2-year contract and the possibility of a dropped phone with a high MSRP replacement cost made me reconsider.
 
On 1/17/2011 I ordered the Apple iPhone 4S 32GB black
when i click on the check your order status , from my Order Confirmation it asks for Order Number, I use the Preorder Confirmation number from the email, not the Order Number. I get it saying We are experiencing technical difficulties, please check back later I wonder why. I been trying for days

FWIW if you have an apple store, you can cancel your order through Verizon and order it through apple for in store pickup for the next day.
