WOW, I ordered mine on Nov. 1st, and it says it ships on Nov. 18th.
I'm in Virginia too.

They conveyed to me at the store that they had a shipment that would go out on the 11th and the 18th. The color and GB size determined when they would be sent. I ordered in Roanoke.
Like an hour after I ordered in the store I got an email saying that there was a problem with my credit approval and to call a number.
Turned out it was just a formal problem.
But in that email it mentioned an Order Reference Number.
With that number and my last name I can check the status here:

So which one did you get?
She told me 16 and 32 would ship by 11/11 and the 64 by 11/18.
So I went with the 32. and now it's still 11/18.
they told you it would ship by 11/11 and really it shipped today?
I guess there is hope for me then!

Yes, I received the tracking number at 3:00am this morning and it shows that I will have it by 3:00pm tomorrow....32GB White.
I ordered mine from a Verizon authorized reseller today and I received a November 11th ship date. I'm located in upstate New York, for whatever that's worth.

I think I just got lucky, and yes I have to sign for the FedEx package, but I work from home so no problem.
So whenever I try to check my order, it says it's experiencing technical difficulties after I submit my info. Cool...
How many digits is your number?
Mine is 16 digits.
I just tried both the Pre-ship number (which is 16 digits), and the Appl. ID Number (which is 9 digits), and I get an error for both of them. How long is your Location Code? Mine is 5 digits, but I'm not sure if I'm using the right code.
My location code is 7 digits, but that's not what I'm using.

Switching to VerizonWireless Store.
Using my Ace Order Number, Location Code and Last Name, I get a site that shows my order number and a field for the tracking number that is still blank.
Does that say anything about when my phone is likely to ship?
All that it means is that your phone hasn't shipped yet. There won't be any communication from Verizon, or any change in the order status form, until the day that your phone is to be shipped.
My mom got a call today saying that our order had a problem. So we went in and they said that they didn't know what the problem was but we had to place the order again. Oh well, they still said that I should be getting the phone Friday, which makes no sense since that's when it's shipping...
