Verizon 4S Preorder Status Thread

I was in the same boat. My card was just charged and order page has updated, no shipping info yet. I breathed a huge sigh of relief.

Signed up to take part in this discussion, as I've been following it a bit and have found it helpful.
 
Update!

My order status just changed! Shipping for arrival on 10/14/2011. No tracking info yet, but hopefully that will be forthcoming.

Also my debit card has been charged so it looks like I'm in like Flynn! Here's hoping for an early arrival!

Per others' requests (and because I've found this forum very helpful!) - ordered from VZW at about 2:15 a.m. CDT. Order number is 22xxx. Phone is shipping to the Chicago area.

Using the link you provided, it now says my order won't ship until the 21st! I ordered through Verizon at about 2:15 CDT on Friday Oct. 7. I'm a new customer (switching from AT&T) so I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

Any other new Verizon customers seeing similarly confusing messages?

When I go to that other page my expected ship date is just blank so that's weird. Before it also said 10/14.
 
For what it's worth, I think the "order number" is specific to the "order location". That is to say that you need both pieces of information to determine where you are in line. Does anyone know the meaning of "order location"? I assume there are multiple locations...

It's pretty funny to see people so excited to part with their money. That being said, I'm pretty excited to see the charge hit my account too...

ordered 32 gb black,

Question, my order number says 6113? is that my order number or is the first like 8 digits on my pre-order confirmation number my actual order number because I ordered it at 7am est and I feel like there is now way I am order number 6113.
 
i ordered mine at 3:07 AM friday, but for some reason my order # is #1366XXX...seems kinda high for being 7 minutes into the preorder
 
So I got an e-mail from Verizon saying my order was on hold because my "card had expired." I called, they ran it through again and it worked.

So... what the hell. I'm now pretty sure I'm not getting it this Friday... and to think I was one of the first people to order this at 2:55 AM EST on pre-order day.

Sigh. :(
 
I got the changed status and a pending transaction on my credit card.

Ordered 6am est on the first day.
Order number 63XXX

So doesn't seem a particular order to it.

Really silly...but very exciting reading that eveyone else is as excited as me!!

I just checked the Verizon site, my credit card account, Fedex and UPS and have no new or updated information. I am hoping something will happen after midnight tonight...and will be waking up to check all of the accounts again!!:p
 
Wanted to post my update. Have found this forum to be very helpful for me.

Purchased White 16GB. Order# 22xxx. Purchased my phone at around 1:03amMST on 10/7, received the confirmation email at 2:29amMST. Still no charge to my card or status change -- Still says:
We received your order and it is in process.
Expected Ship Date: 10/14/2011

Wouldn't let me change the name on my CC on time of purchase. Did anyone have that same issue but got through anyways?
 
My order is still "in process". My card has not been charged and I have received no tracking.

My expected ship date is still 10/21, and it appears I will be left out in the cold on launch day. 32GB White. Order #90XXX
 
Mine just changed. Order number 6815. No other information, but went from pre order to order with blank fields for Courier, Status, and Ship Date. I ordered at around 5 am eastern time on Friday, October 7th.
 
i wonder if this is a localized event? like one of the shipping centers has received a shipment and is shipping to their territory? im in FL, ordered a 3:07 AM a 64 gb white and havent had a CC charge or anything
