Verizon 4S Preorder Status Thread

Located outside Chicago. I purchased a 64G Black iPhone 4s from the Verizon website at about 2:30AM Central and just had my order page update with the following:


Order Number: 23XXX
Tracking Number:

Courier :
Status: Your pre-order will deliver by 10/14/2011
Ship Date:



Before this latest update it just said it was expected to ship on 10/14/2011.

I have NOT received any additional e-mails from Verizon (just the first e-mail that confirmed my order with the subject: "Verizon Wireless - Your Order Confirmation).

I have no tracking number yet.

Got an email that says

Your Order is on Hold
Dear Valued Customer,
Your order is scheduled to be processed. Average processing time is 3 days. You will receive a confirmation email when processing is complete and your device has shipped.

Although, they charged my CC.

Also says that my order date was today (10/11/11) even though I ordered the morning of the 7th?

Who knows.
 
Anyone get an email from Verizon yet? Saying your card has been charged and your order is shipped with tracking number?
 
Oh, forgot to add, mine is being shipped to NJ and my card has been charged and order status changed (without tracking number).

Yup, same deal. Twisting the knife: I ordered a 16GB on Friday morning at 3:30am and was all set. When that ship date slipped to 10/21 I panicked and ordered the 32GB, after cancelling my first order, at about 11:30PM on Friday. Initially my 32GB order showed 10/14, but then its slipped to 10/21 where it's been ever since. Facepalm all the way.
 
I know a couple other people where worried like me because it wouldn't let you change the name when you ordered it. Happy to let you know my order status got updated and my credit card has a pending charge for $325.49!

So it looks like we are good to go even if you couldn't change your name!
 
I have not received an email but my status has changed but a tracking number or the courier has not changed.

My CC has been charged.
 
Current VZW order status

I received email confirmation at 02:12 AM CST. Ordered a black and a white 16 GB.

We received your order and it is in process. Expected Ship Date: 10/14/2011
Ordered at 12pm on 10/3, shipping to NYC. No charge on CC either.
Ordered through Verizon Wireless pre-order website.

I am in Minneapolis. I ordered on the 7th at 5am CST. 32bg Black iP4S.
My cc has not yet been charged. I am just happy to see my order updated and delivery by 10/14/2011!! Glad i have that day off!!

This has been a very helpful site.

I have the same page as the others....I have been charged, but don't have the tracking numbers. The next fun step is gonna be when they give out the tracking numbers and UPS/FedEx won't recognize the tracking number for like 12 hours and everyone will go nuts again:

Anyone try searching FedEx by reference numbers now that things are moving?

I'm right outside Chicago too, and I'm now seeing "Your order has been sent for processing." or "Your pre-order will deliver by 10/14/2011" depending on which of the tracking pages I go to. I don't have a charge on my CC yet, but my available credit just went down by the exact amount of my purchase price, so I'd say it's been charged.

I ordered at 2:50 in the morning. on Verizon.com's website. It is coming to Northern Virginia just outside DC.

HAHAHA... so true. I can see the posts now... "I'm going to sue!" "Who can we call at FedEx to specifically find my package and let me know it's ok and not in need of food or water?" "It's a conspiracy between FedEx and Verizon!" :)

Seriously... I've been stalking this forum and my verizon order status all day. Thank you Apple for causing my work productivity to nose dive.
