White 32GB. Upstate NY. Order Number: 4XXX Ordered at 3:15AM. Card still has hold. No tracking.

Ordered at 2:58AM on the 7th.. Before they were even supposed to go on preorder.. Got my confirmation email at 3:00 AM... Still no shipping notice yet..... :\
Okay, I went on UPS and tracked by reference. I tried the whole location number, underscore, 00, order number (xxxxxxx_00xxxxxxx) and was able to find my shipment ! The shipping label has been created, but it hasn't shipped yet and I don't have a delivery date.

Just got an email from Apple saying my iPhone shipped...via UPS with expected delivery date of Friday the 14th. The best part is that it's coming straight from China, so UPS is doing work to get it to me in time!
No shipping notice for me yet, but charge was put on my card yesterday afternoon. Hopefully will get shipping notice either today or tomorrow.
If shipment notifications are being sent out today, and the phones are being shipped overnight (UPS next day for me), what are the odds we'll have our phones...Thursday? Not trying to get my hopes up, just wondering.

Okay, I went on UPS and tracked by reference. I tried the whole location number, underscore, 00, order number (xxxxxxx_00xxxxxxx) and was able to find my shipment
Just did the same, I see shipping label created shipped via 2 day air.. nothing else.
Haven't gotten official Verizon e-mail stating the order has been shipped, but I tried this technique above yesterday and nothing, but tried again this morning and it appears to work!
Says for my order that it is status: Initiated. Anticipated ship date: Oct 12, 2011 and Estimated delivery: Oct 14, 2011 by 7:00PM Service type: FedEX 2Day Service - Indirect Signature Required

Checked it so many times the past 24 hours with no luck. Finally have my tracking number! 16GB White with confirmation at 1:58 central.

I am assuming, if all rules are followed through Apple specifications. The package will leave tomorrow to arrive on Friday. For everyone else who is getting their package via UPS, if you know what time UPS usually hits your neighborhood, my guess is that will probably when you can expect the package. This is the SAVER form of Next Day Air, so arrival time is really free game.
I've always gotten my UPS packages towards at the end of the day, and I think that's when I'll be expecting this one as well. Can't wait for Friday!!

Been lurking on the site for months now as info about the 4S came out. It has been very helpful, so I registered to contribute to this thread.
Ordered two 32GB black on 10/7 at approximately 6:30am Eastern from the Verizon website, order number 14XXXXX. Got the confirmation email minutes later. Like many others on here, Verizon apparently waited until yesterday to start putting the charges through and AMEX flagged it as potentially fraudulent. I had to call AMEX, approve the charge, and then call Verizon to get them to put the charge through again - which they did right then. It immediately showed up on my AMEX account as a pending charge. I got all this taken care of within about 30 minutes of being notified by AMEX about the charge being held.
Meanwhile I received an email from Verizon saying the order was on hold and processing, with payment "not yet taken," and my ship date slipped from 10/14 to 10/21. Concerned that I had lost my "place" in the shipping order and asking for confirmation that my original delivery date of "by 10/14" would be honored, I emailed Verizon's internet order group last night and received this response today:
"Thank you for contacting Verizon Wireless. We apologize for the confusion. Your package is still scheduled to be shipped on 7/13. Our web site is experiencing difficulties and we are working with our IT Department to have it corrected. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. At this time your order is complete and ready to ship. We will send you an email when tracking information becomes available."
Obviously this must be taken with a grain of salt, but it is reassuring. If I don't receive any sort of shipping information by tomorrow, I will contact Verizon again, but it seems like everything is in order despite the information on their website.

Just put my information in and got this too! 64 gb white, Florida, 3:07 AM oct 7 order date. Anticipated ship date of today, with delivery friday. 2 day air on fedex.
I ordered on Friday late morning, 32GB white.
I switched from AT&T to VZW and did my transaction with a rep over the phone.
Because I was a new customer they would NOT ship to anywhere else but my CC's billing address which is my Apartment.
So I had to take a day off work to meet the phone.
So far, I've received my confirmation email as everyone else.
My Order Status Page still hasn't been updated (Reads: We received your order and it is in process. Expected Ship Date: 10/14/2011)
And my CC has yet to be charged.
I'm in a real bind as I was forced to take a day off to accept the delivery but have yet to receive confirmation that one will even take place on 10/14.
If I don't get confirmation by Thursday afternoon, I'll be forced to request the day off to whatever VZW comes up with. Its just frustrating being held hostage to a delivery, but not receiving confirmation.
