Verizon 4S Preorder Status Thread

It is obvious that the process of shipping/distribution has started, so those who ordered early enough will get theirs by Friday. I'm just concerned that since I ordered 5 pm EDT that I will have to wait another whole week.
I contacted Verizon today to verify my order, specifically if there were any issues with my credit card. They informed me that my order shows "paid" and is pending shipment. However, my status still shows "Your order has been sent for processing."
I contacted my credit card company to verify the charge and they acknowledged that the charge from Verizon went through yesterday. So, I'm expecting things will start moving soon. Cheers.

I went to UPS and chose track by reference and input the following:
location number, underscore, 00, order number (xxxxxxx_00xxxxxxx)
Mine is headed to Rockford, and i am in exact same status as you. have fedex tracking info, but seems like no movement since about 5am this morning, no email, no update on verizon website.
Please tell me

Is Rockford the local delivery area for most of the west suburbs? We're in DeKalb County, wondering if I'll have to drive to Rockford or not if I miss it. I have no clue where our FedEx office is (I know our UPS office is local).
I've still got that... 32GB Black ordered at 1:55am CDT Oct 7th... my credit card has been dinged but the charge hasn't "posted" yet, not shipping email yet.
There probably wont be until the device ships either at 2 PM or later tonight (depending on pickup). for overnight there is a 2pm pickup time requirement, but im not sure on the 2 day requirement. My guess for the fedex people is that there wont be any movement online until tonight when they all ship out.
I just got my shipment notification from Verizon! Shipped via UPS, should be here on 10/14/11. WOOOO HOOOO!

Not sure, but I've got to think there is a distribution office in dekalb, its a bigger city or sycamore which isn't too far for you.
Update... I tried the ol' Location Number/Order Number reference trick for UPS and I got a result... my iPhone is shipping 2nd Day air!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Order number varies. It is your order number then enough 0s in front to make in nine digits long. My order number is 5 long so I needed 0000xxxxx
Correct! Mine is shipping UPS 2nd day air to Tampa. That means UPS will have to get the box today and I will see tracking tonight and tomorrow. The phone will arrive on Friday as promised. I know it will arrive, just wish UPS delivered before 6pm at my house. At least I will get work done on Friday since I know the phone will not arrive until after 5pm.
Enjoy the wait guys....the phones look like they will arrive as promised on Friday.
I ordered a 64gb black iphone at 8AM CST 10/7 and have the same message as you - no shipment e-mails yet.. And I can not find my UPS/FEDex tracking# using the order location_0000ordernumber - I am not worried. We are not the only ones.
