Verizon 4S Preorder Status Thread

i finally found out my tracking number (i was never sent a confirmation email) by calling verizon and using the option to text the tracking info to my phone. i checked the fed ex website and it is shipping from memphis to new jersey and should arrive on friday! YES!:D
 
I still have nothing more than a hold on my bank account and the status screen that says:

Courier :
Status: Your pre-order will deliver by 10/14/2011
Ship Date:

I'm starting to get worried. I've tried the reference number tricks with no luck. M7*****_003******

Maybe it's because I'm porting a number? :(

I wouldn't worry about it. You got your email...you'll be fine.

Has anyone ever ordered anything from Monoprice? I'll receive my package from them and then get the tracking info the following week. There are delays in the system, but I'm sure it's moving right along. I don't have a confirmation email or tracking number, but if they say it'll be here by the 14th, it'll be here.

i used 1800 922 0204

i waited on the line and it asked me if i wanted information on a phone that was ordered. if yours doesnt do that, then the shipping info probably hasn't been entered into their system yet. mine did not have this option yesterday, and today it did.

I didn't have that option. Just to check my bill, change password, etc. ::sigh:: :rolleyes:

well if it makes you feel better im in nyc which is close and ordered 2 1/2 hours out and my site still says "sent for processing" and no further updates. i don't know if mine is charged bc i used my husbands business card and don't know how to log on. if he wasn't so busy i'd be all over him about it. :D

this was the case for me last night. i tried again today and had the new option. my guess is that it will be updated for you once the tracking number has been entered into their system. dont get frustrated, youll have the phone in your hands in no time :D

I hope so. Just in case, I have been surfing for the internet sales number people have used and I can't find the damn thing mixed in with the 60 pages we have going now. :mad:

Good luck! They are rather unfriendly today, at least when I called... and offered virtually no information, in fact, they confused me even further. My order status has been showing ship 10/14 since saturday, and they said my order won't be shipping until 10/21. Not completely convinced, as the VZW reps have been known to provide inaccurate information quite often throughout the past week. It also appears that they aren't shipping out in order of 'first come first serve' or with any type of rhyme or reason as initially indicated. So, there's still hope... ;)


[I ordered at 11pm EST friday 10/7 16 GB black 4S through VZW website enrolling in a new plan.]

I beg to differ. From what I've read and personally experienced with my order, VZW is extremely loyal to your order number (when you ordered your phone) and is keeping up with first-come-first-serve.

I think they are to an extent, but if you are following this thread you will notice that there is absolutely no pattern or order to who gets shipping notifications or credit card charges when.

I pre-ordered Saturday 10/8 at 10:30am, bank account was charged yesterday, and I received my tracking number this afternoon. This is unlike many others who pre-ordered early AM on 10/7. However, I'm guessing they will most likely still get their phones on Friday.
 
preorder via VZW shipping confirmation

New line to Family Plan pre-ordered via Verizon Wireless website at 3:40AM CST on 10/7. 16GB iPhone 4S (Black). Credit card was charged yesterday afternoon (10/11). Received shipping confirmation and FedEx tracking number this afternoon (10/12) at 1:51PM CST.

FedEx tracking shows shipped (2-day) from Memphis, TN to Dallas, TX scheduled for delivery by 7pm on 10/14.

Called to have FedEx hold at local FedEx office, but appears will have to wait for 1st missed delivery attempt. Won't be around to sign for it Thurs or Friday.

Hoping for delivery attempt tomorrow. :)

I'm wondering the same thing. I ordered online, ported two numbers, got a confirmation email saying will deliver by 14th, but nothing else. Order status page is worthless. Credit card not charged.

Has anyone who ported a number gotten a shipment notification?
 
Po box?!

Just called VZN because I noticed my shipping address was to be PO BOX and it can't be shipped to a PO BOX. VZN said they didn't know how it go past them but my account has been charged and the date shows 10/21 (which is totally false because they're order dates aren't accurate). So, somewhere my iPhone has to be floating around out there coming to me? I'm gonna call FedEx tomorrow to change the shipping address to my home ad. Do you guys think they'll let me do that and I'll have it by Friday? Still waiting on that tracking # too :(
