I too called moments ago and was given the same information. I was told they (Verizon) apparently sent out a mass email today for those with a 10/12 ship date. I never received one but the rep forwarded one onto to me with a new ship date of 10/19. Not too happy, though a week isn't terrible so long as they actually DO ship them out as planned. The most disconcerting part was that zero updates were communicated for the past two weeks while my (and I'm sure several others) order sat in limbo. The rep I spoke with even said that he didn't see any trace of this mass email having been sent to me at all, so it's not like it was delayed or anything. I understand things happen and again, not the end of the world, but c'mon. Principal of the matter, you know?
Anyway, hope this info helps some other folks who have been left in the dark.
