My tracking number has been added to my orders screen on VZW.com. No email with tracking info yet. For some reason it's coming via UPS this year for me, instead of FedEx.

If that ends up being the case for my shipment, many tears will be shed and I will forever use UPS over FedEx and USPS

(Actually, I'll use anyone over USPS. I sent in my iPhone 5 for a bill credit/gift card last Tuesday and it still says its departed the sorting facility in my city. The expected delivery date was last Friday. If there isn't any movement by tomorrow, a lovely USPS worker will be getting a piece of my mind GRRRR)



Id take Fedex over the others myself. Never had one of their drivers steal from me. I had a UPS driver years ago stead some COD money when I sent a package COD. Took forever to get the money back. It was a pain to prove I did not get the money. UPS themselves could see they never sent me the money from the shipment but they wanted me to prove a negative instead.....

I just got a call from Verizon. I asked why some were shipping UPS instead of Fedex. I got the standard line about their shipping is either Fedex, Verizon, or USPS and he said I should have the phone tomorrow. I reminded him these will probably hold until the 25th. He then said 'you should have the phone soon'.

He said these are shipping from a warehouse in the USA, so we will see as soon as one of the tracking numbers start showing data.

Well that sucks. I had nothing but issues from UPS the last time. I was so hesitant on ordering but did because it was supposed to come fed ex. This figures.
 
What are the options to change the delivery address with UPS or pre sign like can do on Apple?

Last year, you were not allowed to pre sign for orders shipped on release day. Too many people literally following ups trucks around and stealing the last years phones is what they told me. Also, I couldn't change delivery to work as they would not leave with security or mail room and can't wait around for me to be found. You can ship to a UPS store and pick up that day or if you miss your delivery like I did last year, I went to the UPS hub by me and picked it up when all deliveries were done.

That's terrible. *knock on wood* I haven't had any issues with either service, except for the one time the UPS guy decided to throw a package on the porch that we no longer use (and can't get to unless we aggressively yank an old door in our living room open). It was a projector bulb for the tv that was delivered a week or so before Christmas. It sat on the porch in a foot of snow in the freezing cold until one of us decided to investigate the footprints on the side of the house. Luckily the bulb wasn't damaged and worked fine, but I still don't understand why he went over there rather than the front door? :p

He knows you were referring to the 6s/+ models, right? Not just a random order you have?

Yes, he mentioned my order, a 128GB SG plus model.

But then again, we are talking about a VZW rep here. Im not holding much faith in his statement.

I've learned if I want a true statement, I either need to Google my question or ask more than 2 reps. If I get the same answer 3 times, it's usually the truth
 
No shipping email yet but there is tracking info on my account!!!! Yay! And it's ups. I ordered 9/15 but it changed to 9/19 and am in Indiana

At some point we need to all learn that the VZW reps don't have any clue. Unfortunately they are poorly trained or don't have the information. I don't think this is an excuse for them and it should be on VZW to do a better job but they have no clue and we are wasting our time asking them. The only reason to call them is if you have a real issue (i.e. a charge that was declined etc) outside of those situations VZW reps have proven useless in regard to giving accurate information.

I've been having issues with FedEx personally ever since I moved. Never had a problem with UPS or FedEx before, but now FedEx has delivered my last 2 packages to the wrong address. Good thing is my neighbor returned one and the other package was left opened at my door step one day. Someone just rang the door bell and took off and left the opened box at the door step lol...

Hopefully they won't go to the wrong house this time around. Took a day off of work so I won't have to go try to get it at the hub after 7pm. Anyone know any methods to try to get FedEx to ensure that they go to the correct address?

LOL Sometimes Google doesn't have what I'm looking for. It's like playing the lottery. If you get an excellent, knowledgable rep, then go out and buy a lottery ticket ASAP because it's your lucky day.
