So if I pick it up at the store/facility, I'll do the following (just double checking):
My ID has the same last name and address as the package. The VZW account is under my dad's name, but my last name and address are the same as the package.

I have other forms of ID on hand as well (student ID card, debit cards, etc.) in case they need that. Should I bring another proof of address?
As long as your state id has the same last name and address as the name of the package, you will be fine.

For me its a different story. Its in my moms name, who lives with her boyfriend at the address on the package. But, her ID still says she lives at my address. So if i were to go try and pick it up, even if i brought both our IDs, neither would match the address on the package. Really thinking about paying the money to reroute it just to my house, since it is my phone after all. Hopefully itll allow me to do that.....

But yeah, you should be fine.
 
For Verizon customers, how quickly do you think they'll have them in stores? I'm thinking about switching to Verizon soon but would rather do it in store. Thanks!

I'll go armed with everything that has my name and address on it LOL If they deny me for any reason, I'll have (or force) my dad into swinging by on his way home from work. I mean, if they really won't let me, I'll get him on the phone if it comes to that. I just want my phone!!!

I'd say probably Friday, but there will definitely be a limited stock. If I were you, I'd wait until the rush is over and the demand isn't so big. Try in a couple of weeks or so, but call ahead and make sure they have the model/color/storage you're looking for before you make the trip out there

Are you sure? There was a small issue with my order as well and the lady couldn't fix. I asked for a supervisor and they fixed quickly.

Having said that, I'd wait another billing cycle. Just make sure you cancel your Sprint service on the day of your billing cycle (Ex. If your billing cycle is 9/12-10/11, cancel on the 11th) to avoid any extra payments/partial month charges.

I understand why these restrictions are in place, but they could at least make it a little easier for people in situations similar to yours
 
pickup always starts around 8am for me here in northeastern ohio. The tracking page will say available for pickup i believe.

Is that a hub or a store? The hub is not far from my job and I could run on lunch if it does start at 8.

OK, I ran through this situation. Here is what I was told.

1.) Call the cust serv and speak to a supervisor. Dont waste your time with the reps.

2.) Have the supervisor look up your order and original deliver date.

3.) Have the supervisor place the order.

4.) The supervisor has the ability to contact someone higher than him that can put you back in line to get your phone on the original deliver date. I was told they do this all the time .

Oh boy, you just made my day. Hopefully my tracking goes active so I can work out any possible issues with the MyChoice account. Hell, I may go to work late!
the only part is that the ambiance is weird. like mine is this HUGE building with tons of trucks and warehouse doors and stuff, then weee little bitty in the corner is the pickup office that is dingy, full of outdated computers, and packed wall to wall with people almost all the time. hahaha, that shouldnt deter from your decision to pick it up, but i admit its very weird being there. just feels wrong haha.

I wanted to do this as well. Called FedEx today, provided my tracking number and asked to have it held at the FedEx facility, they said they were unable to do so for this package until after a failed delivery attempt
 
Well mine is being shipped by USPS from Coatesville, PA.
Kinda odd since I live near Seattle WA. Must be where the VZW USPS shipments come from.
Also, it's scheduled for delivery on Thursday, 9/24.

My phone order was canceled by Verizon, they said they would fix but I just received email stating delivery 10/14!!! This was after I spoke with a supervisor, I guess I will call again :(

Yep. Me too. They were all awful. No help and the supervisor was just as bad as the front line person.

They lost me, going over to ATT. Honestly, you can't figure this out, you deserve to have spider make a nest under your skin.
 
Think I just got bumped up from 9/30 to 9/25 on my 6S+ 64GB SG. Card was just charged and delivery date was updated to 9/21. Woot!
