Verizon.com: Preorder thread

Same :( I just want to do hold for pickup so I can go earlier in the day!

Mine's still in Newark as well, but some flights are leaving Newark from FedEx within the hour, so hopefully something sooner than later!
 
Mine left Kentucky at 2:00!

So I chatted with a UPS chat person a couple of minutes ago, and they said since it is a valuable item, that I cant sign ahead of time on the internet to have them leave it at the front door in case my fiancé doesn't hear the deliver person ring the bell....how were you guys (the people that did sign ahead of time) able to do so??
 
Nevermind, the person on the UPS chat said that since Verizon messed up my address (forgot 1 number) and I had to have them change it the other day, that limits my MyUPSChoice options....wtf, I'm pissed :mad:

I wondered that also. Mine just left Memphis via FedX however, the only customize options I have are which door to go to and vacation hold. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Mine has the same status except it is in Memphis. I'm pretty sure things wont move until this evening. From past experiences FedEx tends to fly stuff at night. Probably keeps them away from the heavy traffic and allows all the trucks to move stuff to the planes during the day.

Mine departed at 2:35 from Memphis too!

Earlier today, because my "customize delivery" still offers no pick-up option, I chatted with a rep on the FedEx website. He said my package wasn't eligible for pick-up, but finally he agreed to send a message to my local facility asking for a preferred delivery time. Shortly after, the person at that facility did call me, and she talked about how weird their schedule is tomorrow and how they can't deliver before 9 or after 5, and they're closing at 6:30 instead of 7:30. (I'm in NJ so I'm not sure if this is related to the pope's visit or to the phone launch, or maybe both).

Long story short, the options seem really limited, and maybe it's based on geographic. At this point I'm either leaving the release form and having someone run home right after it's dropped off (most likely) or just going to the local facility by 6:30, which I probably wouldn't make.

UPS has a huge operation at the Philly airport. Flights leaving for all over the country in the early morning hours. Assuming they'll be trucked in to the airport at some point tonight.

Looking at the departures from Newark for FedEx has me wondering if they didn't scan for departure. There are 5 flights from Newark to Memphis and my tracking has not been updated yet. No more scheduled FedEx flights for today has me anxious that it will not be delivered tomorrow. Anyone else feel that their departure scan was not done before leaving Newark?
