Verizon.com: Preorder thread

I'm really not sure how my phone will get from JFK or Newark to Cleveland by tomorrow morning, but I guess I should trust these UPS people and their logistics
 
My order surprisingly just shipped and I placed my order a day or two after the pre-order started and initially got a 10/7 expected delivery date.

He said my package wasn't eligible for pick-up, but finally he agreed to send a message to my local facility asking for a preferred delivery time. Long story short, the options seem really limited, and maybe it's based on geographic. At this point I'm either leaving the release form and having someone run home right after it's dropped off (most likely) or just going to the local facility by 6:30, which I probably wouldn't make.

Same boat. I am in the NEast and was planning to leave the signature release on the door. I live in the city but on a short dead end street. I can run home and get it but my problem is Fedex never delivers this street until 6ish pm and I know from past experience if they hold it at the store/hub I can get it by 9am. Hope the Pope doesn't screw with your delivery. I didn't want the wife to know I upgraded ahead of schedule (she's a droid freak) so was hoping to have it all cased and in pocket by five (shhhhh)

dang, and it says it's going to be here tomorrow night. i actually didn't want it that quickly believe it or not. fortunately my case arrived. so much for 10/7!

Hey, not fair - I haven't landed yet! Lol

I'm imagining that I'm on the Newark flight, but I'm not positive. I guess I'll find out when I land!

All I can picture right now are our phone boxes sitting in little airline seats being served pretzels and beverages while watching in-flight entertainment

:D Probably watching in-flight movies on their own screens.

Yes just signed up for alerts today and I received a text and email alert that I have a package scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Check my UPS app and see that it is in transit, has left Coatesville/Philly.

Haha. I am amazed how they get this done. I can't imagine the undertaking this is every year.

Geez, I don't get movies or food on my flights.

All I get are pretzels and Coke (I always fly Delta, but I did fly Frontier this year for a flight down to Atlanta. It wasn't bad despite the awful reviews I read online)
