Verizon.com: Preorder thread

I had my 64 GB Space Gray 6S Plus redirected to a UPS Customer Center since Verizon (or me :rolleyes:) left off the apartment number in the address, and somehow it still associated with my UPS My Choice. But the UPS person at the counter didn't even ask me for any ID, and it was addressed to my wife's name!

They also estimated a delivery date of 9/30 since I ordered it a few hours after pre-orders opened, but it came today anyway!
 
I put a request to have mine held at the customer center in the beginning of the week. It was in "transit" all day yesterday. I have to wait until Monday. No clue what happened but I'm not happy.
 
I don't blame you. I would be pretty ticked off too if I put a request in that early. Sorry to hear.
 
Verizon comes through as promised. 3 p.m. promised delivery arrived at 3:15, with very simple and clear instructions for moving from the old phone to the new one. Got the box to send my trade-in 5S the day before.

These guys are pricey, but I like the way I've been treated over the last 15 years. Think I'll pass on their suggestion to use Enhanced LTE, though. Simultaneous voice and data on LTE would be nice, but I use voice heavily and I assume LTE voice counts against my data usage. That could get expensive.

HD voice does not use data. It's very nice and clear.
 
I feel for your guys that are delayed or something messed up. I have never had an easier transaction as I did yesterday. I went to UPS to pick up my phone and there were 10 people in front of me. About 30 min later I was home and activated. The wife called and asked about hers and I let her know Fed Ex had until 3 to deliver. Hung up and it was not even 2 minutes. Knock on the door. Within 5 minutes she was activated and we were good to go
 
My phone was delivered in a Uhaul instead of FEDEX truck. They must ran out of truck! Packages were mostly iPhones.
 
Didn't preorder this year but will be next year - just ordered mine yesterday and it says it'll ship by Oct 5th!
 
Mine is at the ATL sort facility. I wish it was out for delivery. I mean that facility can't be more than 20 mins away from me. FedEx sucks. Wish I could be proactive and hold mine for delivery.

I was able to run to the local store and get the last 6s Plus which just happened to be the type I ordered, so I'll just have to take that one back on Monday when it gets here.

I too got the shaft. o_O

The worst part is our phones were just sitting in Newark for ~6 days, then FedEx somehow thought they could truck them to Indianapolis Thursday night, _then_ wait 8 hours, and then truck them from Indianapolis to Memphis Friday morning at 7am and still get it to my house, in Florida, by 8p. Heck, it didn't even get to Memphis until ~3pm. (However, see below, maybe it wasn't the original plan).

This morning however, I saw them make it to Jacksonville at 6a, on truck for delivery at 8a ... then I got an email that said by 8pm (figures ...) on Sept 25th. Apparently FedEx is in some temporal anomaly :D

Low and behold as I was writing this, just now, at 9:45am ... a knock at the door.

THEY ARE HERE!

FWIW, the FedEx guy said there was some truck issue (breakdown), that forced a re-route (looks like maybe packages headed for Southeast[?])

So calling this a 12 hour delay :D

Anyone get theirs fedex to CA? Mine left FedEx origin facility in PA over 24 hours ago and is supposed to arrive Monday. Not sure how much I believe that.

Mine were delivered from Fedex to Socal by 11:30 am.

My 6S Plus took a convoluted path vs my wife's 6S, but FedEx delivered them much earlier in the day than I had anticipated.

Wow, congrats. I wish this were true for me. I'm in Tallahassee fl. My phone got to Memphis at 3 or so yesterday and arrived in Tallahassee today, but never went out for delivery. Did your tracking say standard overnight or priority overnight? Mine was standard which means no Saturday delivery

It was Standard Overnight and the Special Instructions showed Deliver Weekday, Residential Delivery, Indirect Signature Required.

Side note: using it in landscape and Safari in "tab mode" is super nice :cool:
 
Just called my local verizon store. They have all the 6s models in stock. Not cancelling my apple.com order just yet, but it looks like I'll be picking mine up today. Woot woot.

Got mine yesterday at 11 am. Uhaul truck pull up instead Fedex truck.
 
I ordered a 6s plus in the Verizon store on the 14th. First notice was a delivery date of October 7th. Then it changed to the 5th. I just looked again. Now it is back to the 7th. No!!!

*Update! Now receiving official tracking notice. Delivery is now set for this Wednesday. There really is a Santa!

Ordered 6s Plus 128 S grey on the 16th. First delivery date 10/14 changed to 10/12 this morning, then back to 10/14 tonight.......BUT.....they just put the charge through, so .....?

Update: Went there for the 128gb space grey model and they had one left. I had to wait 2 hours to get it, but I left with a new phone. Their customer service isn't good.

Just fyi, mine showed "in transit" even after it was ready for pick-up. Didn't change until I picked it up and it showed "delivered". So if it still shows that on Monday it doesn't necessarily mean it's actually "in transit", it just means it's yet to be picked up/delivered.

Thanks. The tracking looked strange Friday morning so I contacted customer service and they told me it was actually ready. So I went to pick it up only to be told it wasn't there. It better be there tomorrow!

Same thing happened to me, too. Had an 10/14 date, then moved up to 10/12, then moved back to 10/14 and bang - card charged. What's up with that?
