I got mine today at 11am.
who ever was in charge in boxing these phones did a **** job. I only had one small air cushion thing in there (2 but one the air was deflated out of) so the phone box was sloshing around the damn shipping box...... being that apple tightly packs the iphone in its own box, it was fine but still.
I've not really messed with it to much. just syncing my crap ton of music to it lol but the time that i did spend with it. its very smooth and fast. very snappy. i have a feeling its not just the new cpu that is making it faster. that 2gb's of ram i bet is helping out a ton!!! the force touch (3d touch whatever im calling it force) is nice but there are a few area's (in stock apps) that you would think they would have some options. like holding the tab button at the bottom of safari to just make a new tab.
i can't wait for a jailbreak for this. there are going to be some AMAZING jailbreak tweaks to make force touch amazing.
also touch ID is just stupid fast. like if you just press the button to try to just hit the lock screen. to bad. its just going to unlock the phone lol.

Words can't describe my frustration now. I know it says until 8pm for delivery, but honestly, I've never seen a FedEx or UPS truck this late in my neighborhood ever (I work from home 5 days a week). I'm honestly extremely concerned that something has happened and I'll soon be dealing with a situation I don't want to be dealing with.
This is why I always just do "pick up at local UPS store/customer center" for iPhones being delivered on release day. Particularly because our house is seemingly the last stop for our UPS driver, so on busy days like today, we sometimes get missed...
Don't get discouraged yet!
My Fed-Ex guy said it is all hands on deck there today. He showed up in my driveway in a minivan with a Fed Ex logo on the side of it!
Haven't received mine yet either. My tracking with FedEx now says delivery pending
The new 3D touch is weird. I've been playing with it for the past few hours. I think it will be awesome when I finally get it down, but no worries on figuring it out!The Fedex delivery man arrived to my home around 1pm. I was with Verizon before and I just popped the new SIM in. I turned off both phones first and upon booting the iPhone it was going great with my number from before. Hope this helps
Pretty much how it worked except it was a woman this time and they were doing a role call of sorts. Idk why we even bother with a line there, they just call your name whenever it gets loaded off the truck.

It's really going to take some getting used to for me. Mainly because I'm not used to having to push so hard on my phone
But make sure you're trying with stuff that it even works with. Otherwise you'll just get a vibrate.
Anyway, Verizon's packaging of these phones was, as usual, horrible. It had one air bubble in each box and the one in mine wasn't even filled. It was just flopping around when I got it. My 6 Plus was the same way and so was my 4. I wish I could have ordered from Apple but that wasn't the case this time since I went on Edge or whatever-they-call-it-now.
I got my phones... Fedex beat the UPS phone by 3 hours...

Well, I've had a fun day!
Picked up my phone from UPS, went home, couldn't get it to activate it, had to call Verizon (that was a fun 15mins). Then I went to visit my friend this afternoon and got to use the front facing camera. It did an excellent job! Also used google maps and it was loud enough that I could hear it over my loud music.
I'll be throwing a few pics up in a second. I put my screen protector on backwards (sticky side up...idk how that happened) so there's a ton of dust and dirt under my screen. Debating whether to go out and buy a new one or take some tape to it tonight. I hate to throw $17 down the drain and spend $25 on a new one, but the dust is really annoying!

Here are a few pics that I took today. I'm really happy with my phone. The screen (besides from my dust) is beautiful, the pink is awesome (not what I thought it would be), and touch ID is so sensitive that it unlocks my phone when I press the button.

For anyone confused about activation, Verizon already put your SIM card into your new iPhone. So all you have to do is set it up as you do with iPhones, and then I went onto my online Verizon account and clicked "Switch/Activate Device" and it did that! The sim card in your old iPhone won't expire for another 3 months (90 days).
Had the same issue:
Fixed it by going into My Verizon clicking the line, selecting "activate/switch device", selecting the line again(for some reason) then selecting the phone. In about 5 minutes everything worked.
Sim is attached to the phone but you don't need to use it. I took my sim out of my old phone and it worked just fine.
