Verizon Confirms iPhone Launch for Existing Customers at 3 AM ET on February 3rd

This Thursday will be a good prelim test of their servers, since it is existing VZ customers only. It will let them get an idea of what the morning of the 10th will be like. Seeing what happens will be almost as interesting as actually trying to order.

While I do agree with this, I have a feeling that it may not be as horrific as everyone is expecting on Thursday morning. I could be completely wrong, but I think that we'll definitely see some lagging, but not a full on freezing of the system.
 
So if I have a verizon phone I can add a line on the 3rd it is it just for upgrades ?
 
Verizon iPhone at Best Buy

I have heard from creditable sources that Best Buy stores will be offering the Verizon iPhone at launch next week.

Ya maybe they should...so people like you would stop complaining, what do you want them to do fabricate rumors? Here's one I heard from someone familiar with the matter that there will be a mac refresh in the near future focusing on battery life and the new sandybridge processor....it'll be pink!
 
Say Verizon screws the pooch on launch like ATT has in the past....anyone's opinion of ATT change of that happens?

Been a lot of "Oh, Verizon would have done this better", but what if they can't?


It will be fun either way.
 
This is such boring non-news. Yes the iPhone 4 is coming to Verizon. We all know it. Big deal. Can we stop talking about this already and move on to real news and rumors?

An iPhone launch is usually a challenge for carriers. The phone is in such high demand

Its a bit different over there...due to not having stupid multiple standards for cellular service...people on your side of the pond get a choice, O2, Vodaphone, Orange, etc...here there has been one choice AT&T so yea its a bigger deal here than it would be anywhere else. I would suggest though if your finding more coverage about the iphone than Egypt perhaps going to actual news sites and not just apple blogs and tech news sites.

Although I'm sure some wiseguy will point to a FAQ or, even worse, MRoogle, this is MacRumors. The extent of coverage of non-Mac Apple rumours is bad enough, but extending this to VerizonRumors is, quite frankly, taking the p*ss.

If it turns out that SJ gets his black turtle necks and blue jeans from abcxyz, can we expect 'news' on abcxyz's new product lines? Seriously, sign me up for the tie-dye turtle necks!

This is a very interesting comment. It reveals that Verizon will be given the benefit of the doubt instead of being jumped on and beat up, as AT&T was.

Don't really understand all the negative votes on this item. Good (if not great) phone becoming available on what many (including Consumer Reports) consider to be a great carrier. More choice, competition . . . isn't that a positive?
 
i think its sort of funny that when i went to the link in the email on my iTouch i couldn't see the counter because its in flash
 
Whats the big deal America is behind the times we had had the iPhone on all 6 carriers here since the beginning. We have choice here not dictatorship
 
what browser and what OS will handle verizon's crappy overloaded flash website the quickest and smoothest?

right now I am planning on using chrome and 10.6.6, or should I use firefox.

any reason why win7 could be better? prolly not im guessing
