"Mobile hotspot/tethering reduced to 3G speeds after 10GB/month" -- it's right in the details on the VZW webpage.
I was talking about your throttling comments.

Just dropped my AT&T grandfathered UDP for this.

So far so good

While you are on a spending spree, pay the $0.99 and get the ads removed from Ookla. :p

It would be nice if they started accepting those. On the other hand (just thinking of different possibilities) it could mean that this is an initial/introductory offer for the unlimited plan and once the initial offer and pricing goes away and the "regular" pricing kicks in they might then allow corporate discounts on that.

It would be nice but I think you may be right this is prob just a launch deal and once it becomes more mainstream or once they notice the resistance hopefully they'll have a change of heart.

That's kinda crappy. I notice they're giving $10/mo off for auto pay but that sure isn't 15% off bill total.

Yeah it's pretty crappy but I figured there would be some kind of catch since nothing comes for free especially with Verizon lol. Hopefully they change once the plan is more mainstream to allow users to use their discounts. Sucks losing my 25% discount but very happy to have the unlimited.

I am guessing that once the Verizon introductory offer disappears, those that sat on the sidelines looking for more pennies to pick up, while start complaining that Verizon didn't keep it going long enough etc.

By law, Verizon cannot make any substantive changes to the current offering without approval (active or passive) from the subscriber. However, they can, and probably will change the terms and pricing such that, the new offering will not be quite as good as what is being offered now.

Crunch the numbers, talk with Verizon customers in your normal area to check real time coverage etc. Verizon offers a 14 day return policy. If the numbers, possible better coverage don't work in your favor, then you stay where you are, or try another carrier. At least be honest about it all, instead of complaining to complain.

So, the T-Mo announcement is that T-Mobile One will be adding HD Video and 10gb hotspot starting Friday. How is that supposed to be better than Verizon? Just seems copycat.

well let's see I was in Verizon store and they basically trained the reps to say how crappy T-Mobile SD streaming is and now they just matched Verizon's! gotta love competition!

5 lines on Verizon new plan is roughly 295 a month.the same plan now on T-Mobile is 180-200 (Can't remember) and they just matched Verizon's streaming and hot spot but u get 28gb/line before network throttling

T-Mobile also just said u can get 2 lines for 100 a month all in!

I'll hold out on that. Might still switch anyway for the tethering.

Stupid question for the forum: Does Verizon, or anyone still do 2 year agreements?

True. I'm thinking they may allow it in March once the introductory prices change as some people on here have mentioned so you may even get a better deal down the line.

I think it was only available for grandfathered plans and I think they removed it completely by now or at least I no longer see the option on my account.

John Legere Twitter:

"8/ And, how about a little promo to make it EVEN MORE compelling?! $100 for two lines on #TMobileONE ALL IN."

I was waiting for something like this. I'll probably get my fiancée to switch from AT&T to my T-Mobile ONE plan since it brings the bill to $50/each (down from the $70 I'm paying now for just myself).

Question about autopay. They want you to pick a date that it will be paid the same day every month. My bill has been due at different dates thus far. How the heck do we pick the correct autopay date?

Yup, I'm starting to see the differences in T-Mo vs. Verizon. Cheaper price, even with just one line, the throttling starts at 28gb rather than 22gb and the unlimited roaming.

If and when tethering throttling changes, I may get off my grandfathered plan.

My bill due has ALWAYS been on the same day. How strange is that (your situation). I just chose 3 days before my bill is due.

You're probably being forced to select a date because that's when they take the money out of your account (via debit card or direct withdrawal from your checking account). I don't think they can just randomly pluck money out of your account without your consent and specific dates.

Yeah, the drop down gave me the option 4 days before its due to the day of (I think, if I remember right).

Just signed up, and you are wrong.

$80 for one line, $30 for the second, $20 access fee per device, taxes...

2 devices, $156

Edit: plus some random $40 one-time surcharge which may be related to applying the change to this month...?

I signed up around 2 this morning and never got at $40 surcharge.

With paperless billing and autopay, you will save $5.00 a month on single line plan (if I read that correctly). That will bring my bill down to around $116 each month. For multiple line plans, I believe the discount is $10.00.

This is great. Thanks to verizon t mobile is dropping my plan from 120.00 a month complete to 100.00 a month for two lines, gaining 10gb tether to lead into the g3 unlimited. Don't care about hd video but gotta love competition.

"And, after the included 10GB of high-speed data, customers still get unlimited 3G data through the end of the month."

Discount from my employer not valid on unlimited plan. Anyone know if this is the case with other carrier's unlimited plans?
