Now I just need the USB C charging brick. Debating if I’ll get it from Apple or Verizon. Saw they had one for 9.99. 30W I believe

The plan was to order through Apple, but when it got to the account verification, no passcode was received. Hopped onto the Verizon app and I was able to get the order in for my husband’s iPhone 12 256GB in Blue for Oct 23rd delivery.

Only issue is that the confirmation is showing $303 for the trade-in instead of $440. I hope this isn’t a “fine print” issue. He has an older unlimited plan and won’t switch to the one of the new 5G plans until he knows he’s happy with the phone. He’ll call in later to get it sorted. It’s time for work.

Hope everyone’s ordering went smoothly!
Fine print does say "qualified Unlimited plan". I couldn't quote you the exact qualified plans but I think it's any of their plans that have 5G. I called last night and updated my current unlimited plan (which was no longer available) to Play More unlimited. Same price per month and actually saves me money because comes with free Hulu and Disney+ which I already pay for. But that may be your issue, not sure if there's a way to call and get it sorted out

That’s probably the issue which is why I’m off that train with Verizon. There’s always a “fine print” promo that you don’t get full information about until after the fact. When it’s time for me to order the 12 Pro Max, I’m buying SIM-free and trading in my 11 Pro Max through Apple or sell it. Immediate credit and I own the phone.

Ordered 256 12Pro in blue at 5 am, had no issues other than that I selected AppleCare+, and VZW didn't add it, or at least didn't charge me for it and it doesn't show on the order. Can always add it later, I did that with my X. Didn't have any problem with the $440 credit.

I already have Beyond Unlimited so I didn't have to change my plan. I may go ahead and upgrade to the Get More as it's ony $5/mo more and San Diego has several UW sites, one in my neighborhood.

And you get the free Hulu, which I'm paying for separately right now. I already have the free Apple Music but don't use it. Already tried and cancelled Disney+ so no issue there.

Order complete email arrived about 5 minutes later.

What a mess that was. Nothing but issues on their website and app. Once I was able to not get an error, all the pacific blues had sold out for first ship date. The order went through but it didn’t prompt me to pay for taxes on the phones up front. That seemed new and odd to me. Is that normal now?

Mine defaulted to pay on my next bill.

I was hoping to trade in my wife's XR for the $440, but knew going into this "select unlimited" might not include my FUDP. When I added the device to my cart, the website had a notice saying I'm eligible for the selected promotion. I only saw that one time though then it disappeared.

For the trade in on the XR, Verizon's website offered $227 in instant credit. The website also said, on two different lines I will receive additional promo credit, applied in 1-2 billing cycles. It never indicated an amount for those credits. On my confirmation email, it shows the instant credit and a single line item of promo credit of $4.16/month to apply in 1-2 billing cycles.

I'll just ride it out and see what happens. At the end of the day, I'm not unhappy with $227 instant credit + $4.16/month credit for 24 months, but it sure would be nice if another monthly credit of ~$4.72 shows up at some point. They are never very transparent when it comes to these offers, but saving $440 is worth some amount of hassle in my book.

I am a little confused. Why does Verizon say I need to change plans to get the trade in discount but my current plan says I have Unlimited 5g and 4g LTE?

12 Pro 128 - I'm a little conflicted. I can get direct from Apple for $599 after military discount and Xs trade in. Verizon says's $550 credit for new line with trade in but results have been pretty mixed here with how much they actually pay. The $550 is clearly a better deal, I guess I better go to a company store and see...

SO the bricks we use now won't work? I also have a Belkin wireless charger. I didn't use it much as it was hard to get the stupid phone centered on the charger. Half the time I thought it was charging and wasn't. Will that work for the 12pro?

I’m confused as well. When checking out I had to change my plan but the plan it recommended was the same one.

The bricks that previous came with iPhones were usb to lightning. Now there’s no brick and the cable is usb c to lightning. I don’t have a brick laying around. Well, my MacBook charger

Wireless chargers will still work

I have 2 Xs’ and I got $440 for each. They give more if you are adding a new line.

Everything you have will still work. It won't charge as fast as the USB C Apple is now selling or some of the other after market options. Consider using what you have until you decide it's not fast enough. I have a rapid charger I use for travel but around the house, car or office it's not an issue.
