I just bought a 30w Anker one a few weeks ago. It has two ports: USB C (18w) and USB A (12w) and it's $23 at Amazon. I only really use it for travel.

I just got this 20W Anker brick

Had a $10 credit and said it would be here by next Wednesday so went with that

Because it adds 5G ultra wide band

I didn’t change my plan when prompted because I already had the highest unlimited plan (and it says it includes the ultra wide band 5G). I wonder if I needed to reselect the plan to activate 5G or if it was some sort of glitch.

I switched to the $45 unlimited 5G UW Play more unlimited plan that comes with free Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN+. I know you have until February 28th 2021 to sign up for it, but it doesnt say how long those services are for free. With some offers its 6 months, but there is nothing in the plan details how long I get Disney and Hulu for free.

My iPhone 12 Pro Pacific Blue 256gb says delivery Oct 23. Im excited!

I did buy sim free. I should be able to just pop my old sim in right?

It’s for as long as you have the plan (unless Verizon just removes it), so basically indefinitely.

weird it did not ask me to change my plan at all and im on the starter unlimited without 5G but my order was placed successfully for oct 23rd delivery

Ordered a Pacific Blue 12 Pro 128 GB. The rep said it’s back ordered. This was at about 8:30 or so this morning. Ship date 10/30. I escaped the activation fee and had $15.00 in Verizon device dollars and used them as well. Order also in clouded the usb-c brick. Also got the $440.00 promo.

Probably a glitch then and it was added to your account when it became available I’d assume

Doesn't look like a mad rush to buy the 12 or 12 Pro this year. All the 12's are still available for delivery on the 23rd, and all variants of the 12 Pro only delayed until the 30th 9 hours after launch.

Ordered two iPhone 12 Pro models (Graphite and Blue) through the website. In at 7am central and done by 7:05. Got the confirmation e-mail about 20 minutes later. 10/23 delivery. Very smooth.

I ended up buying SIM free through Apple and will switch my current XS SIM into the 12 Pro. I will sell the XS for about $450-500. Verizon's Plan set-up is a bit tricky. Unless you live within their 5G UW coverage or already have an older Unlimited plan, I don't think it makes any financial sense to upgrade to their new 5G UW plans (very limited coverage at this point). I will keep the old Family Share 8GB plan (which includes 5G Nationwide) for now and upgrade to a Unlimited 5G UW plan maybe in a year or two when the coverage is wider.

delivery for my Pro slipped to the 30th right before I placed my order. Historically speaking, do orders that were estimated to arrive a week later ever show up on release day?

12 and 12 Pro I think you mean

Selfishly, I hope some of these people weren't waiting for the Pro Max. I hope there's some left for me and my mother!

Prepare for Carrier Activation Now
We’ll contact Verizon so you don’t have to.
You’ll keep your existing number and rate plan.
Your current phone will work until you setup your new iPhone
Verizon requires a quick credit review to determine your device financing options. This review does not affect your credit score.
Activate Later
When you receive your new iPhone, you’ll need to insert an active SIM card or contact your carrier.*

Is anyone else purchasing with carrier activation (Apple checkout)?

Will I have any issues?

I'm switching from an android device (Samsung Galaxy). Does iPhone use the same sim card that Samsung does? Not sure if it's easier to choose carrier activation or activate later.

Isn't it amazing hw much this launch was about 5G and it's not even close to being an everyday thing for what, 80% of America?
