Same here, stuck on activating...
try to reboot the new iPhone and you should be good to go, that's what i did and mine is up and running now.

Mine still says scheduled for delivery today and yet it has been at the local FedEx facility since 1 AM. Hasn't moved. I wonder what's going on. It is currently almost 2 PM here.

Thanks for the tips. I've tried rebooting, and also going onto the Verizon website. No luck at all, and now Verizon has locked my account because I've tried to verify account information too many times. This is ridiculous.

I am so annoyed my order was cancelled. I’ve decided to go into the store on Friday
I don't understand why they still have payment issues. A few years ago I ordered through them and got the payment issue email but there was no issue with my card.

Mine has been stuck in "Preparing for Delivery" from UPS all morning, anyone else?

I went on the verizon site this morning and ordered for pickup today. Still early here, so store hasn’t opened up yet. I assume I’ll get an email to pickup sometime after the store opens?

Got my pickup email about 15 mins before the store opened at 10. Got there and picked up relatively easily.

I also had an issue activating. Tried putting in my old sim with no luck, but then as soon as I reinserted my new sim, everything worked. Weird. But at least everything is good to go now, about an hour after pickup.

This year, Verizon wants you to activate with the new SIM card, so you can take full advantage of the enhanced 5G network. They even stated swapping sim from 4G phone into a 5G capable phone may prevent the phone from using the enhanced 5G network.
i cant even get 5G where im at so that wouldnt even bother me. first thing im doing when i set up my new 12 pro is switching 5G off lol

Similar boat, still waiting... I know there has been times where the ‘Out For Delivery’ scan just gets skipped because they may have been too busy. I wouldn’t discount anything until the day is over.

Update: Confirmed. Never got a ‘Out For Delivery’ scan, but phone was delivered around usual time FedEx comes by!

Most likely it's because the network is getting hammered by those activating their phones. Also did you turn your old phone off and remove that sim card?
Heck I even had an issue when my dad got a flip phone not during any event. Had to turn it off like twice and try again, and it finally went through

When it does come to your area, you may have to get a new SIM card if you decide to use your current sim.
by the time i get 5G it will likely be close to the iPhone 13 launch lol anyways my plan doesnt even include 5G anyways and dont plan to change it anytime soon for financial reasons. among other things im rarely away from my home which has gigabite internet so likely wouldnt even notice the benefits of 5G

Please let me know if your status changes at all on that and I'll do the same for you. Thanks.

I can't get my phone past "Verify your phone number" screen, clicking "Next" and nothing happens. Anybody seen this issue?

FINALLY! It took almost two hours on the phone with Verizon to figure it out. Still not sure why activation finally worked. But 5G is wicked fast here in DC - I'm getting > 50 mbps with two bars of signal on my front porch. That's the same speed as my FIOS connection. Wow.

Mine won't activate either. I had issues last year due to the esim I believe. This year, I'm just going to use the regular sim and skip the Esim, but it still doesn't seem to want to activate. I've restarted like 48 times.

Restart didn't work for me either. What actually worked:

1) Turn off the phone
2) Remove the sim card
3) Turn on the phone
4) Start activation, it will get past that number verification screen and start activating
5) Plug the sim card back in
6) Activation finished

FedEx got it here way before 8pm. Activation, Applewatch pairing was a painless process. And surprisingly I have 5G here at home clocked at 139 down and 23.8 up so if Spectrum ever goes out I’m covered.

Received my and my wife’s new iPhone 12 pro from FedEx! My wife happened to be outside when they pulled up, so that was a relief.

Setting up new phone from iTunes backup. Didn’t appear to have any activation issues with Verizon on mine but won’t know for sure until the setup is complete.

The graphite color is so nice!
