Still waiting for my wifes 256gb Pro Gold to be shipped. Ordered it sometime in the afternoon of launch day.
 
Just received a text saying that my pro max 128 GB in Pacific Blue has shipped. I ordered this at about 9:15 cst on 10/16. The rep told me it would not ship until 10/30. Talked to several reps over that period and they said the same thing 10/30 ship. My Verizon app has not updated and I don’t see anything on my UPS app. That’s a welcome surprise.

UPS has a tracking number. 2 day ship from Indianapolis.

verizon says mine shipped 3 days ago but UPS still says they have only created the label. but overall it seems like I'm getting it earlier than originally anticipated so I cant complain to much.

I am having a weird activation issue. When I turned on my phone, only outgoing methods worked(sending texts, calls, etc) but incoming(could not get calls or texts) did not work. Because of that iMessage did not activate. I ended up calling Verizon and they were able to fully activate my phone so that incoming and outgoing calls/messages worked. But still iMessage did not activate.

When I go to settings->messages-> send & recieve and select my number, it says there was an error and could not activate it. I have tried everything
-turn off my old phone
-turn off my old phone iMessage/FaceTime
-resetting my new phone completely
-toggling iMessage/FaceTime on and off
-date and time checks
-https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201422

It’s been over 24hrs since this started and still no fix. Apple has no ideas, and now that its the weekend I cant talk to verizon until Monday.

Ideas?
 
Yes we did. We ended up doing a chat for all our swaps. I tried to swap a 12 and 7+ at first which just gave me an error message on the swap website. So I started up a chat to see if it could be resolved. The rep said that model had a known issue swapping with a 5G activated phone number and they are sending me a new SIM to solve that issue. But while we were troubleshooting for a fix, the rep was able to swap the number for the other 12 and our XR really quickly. I would have done it myself but my rep was just wonderful yesterday afternoon. After quick restarts on the 12/XR swapped phones, it has been smooth sailing. As a fair warning, I was refreshing the chat webpage about every 2-3 minutes because it wasn't alerting me that they had messaged and mine wouldn't go through if it had been idle too long. All 4 of the phones involved in the swap are on data plans that include 5G.

Even as busy as I know they were yesterday, my rep was a rockstar. They texted me before they left work last night to check in and gave it another effort to move that number to my 7+ when they got in this morning. They said my 7+ was "really old" so that SIM probably could have used an update anyway.

Thank you so much! I’m wanting to do the upgrade on my husbands line but purchase it from Best Buy they have better offers, then swap it to my line which is an iPhone 11, he has an 8 so I’ll give him my 11 and take the 12 for myself
 
I’m struggling to see if my Pro preorder went through as its stills show a status of processing and ships on the 30th. I ordered on the 16th around 8 AM PST. 2 reps through Chat and Telesales yesterday told me that my preorder didn’t go through because I didn’t pay yet, which doesn’t seem right as I only charged around $95 for activation and government taxes. The third rep, through customer service, told me everything seemed to look okay on her end. On my confirmation email, it says deliver by the 30th of Oct. I did get an automated text message late last night yesterday saying that they received my order and will receive another text message when the phone ships with tracking. I don’t know if I should be concerned about my preorder status.
 
I anyone using their old iPhone SIM or are you using the new one? I took the SIM from my Xr and it seems to work just fine with the 12 but I noticed the shipping instructions say to use the new SIM. Wondering if I am missing anything.

I tried to switch SIM cards too but I received an automated text message saying to use the SIM card it came with so I changed it back.
 
Why not use the new sim? What’s the reason for wanting to use the old one?

In my case I ordered a SIM free 12 Pro as I did not want to be bound to the Verizon payment plan. Swapping the SIM from my XS means immediate activation and I did it before. Verizon also sent me a new 5G SIM to use, but given a lot of people seem to have activation issues I prefer to start out with the old SIM and switch to the 5G SIM later once Verizon has worked out their issues.
 
UPS finally has tracking info, it's in KY and supposedly getting here by tomorrow.
