If you opt for a new line of service you’ll pay $22.87 per month for your new phone but if you upgrade existing line it’s $27.45

Correct you will have to buy from Verizon to use Verizon device dollars. Different companies

Those wanting to use 5G will have to change their plan. I switched from my unlimited plan to the 5G unlimited plan. There are multiple plans. They are waving the additional $10 5G monthly fee, so for me there was no increase in cost.

How do we check if our plan already includes 5G?
 
I’m planning on ordering the Pro this Friday. Is delivery next Friday or will they start shipping out next Friday?

That’s always been my experience. Haven’t bought an iPhone in release day since the 7 Plus. Little rusty. Hoping I can get the 10/23 date. Done with this XS Max.

I’d say chat or call to find out. All unlimited plans have been updated on their website to include 5G but the Ultra 5G is not included on the “Start” plan. Don’t know if 5G will auto update to current users or if you will have to change plans.

You have to change your plan, as it will not do it automatically. You will just be limited to LTE if you don't. Don't freak out after you change your plan, and all of a sudden it shows it as $10 higher. The new bill doesn't include the $5 discount for auto pay and $5 discount for paperless billing. That gets processed with the next bill and you will get the discounts.

Lol yeah unfortunately I’m a sucker and upgrade every year. I wonder what made them delay the 12promax release unless they just want to see numbers first

This is only for adding Ultra wide band. For me personally it isnt worth it yet being it’s fairly limited to large markets

True, but the plan benefits are pretty good. With one plan you get 600 GB of Verizon storage, or the media plan that includes free Disney+ and HULU.

I believe I got it as it says in my plans features "Unlimited 5G / 4G LTE data". I am on The new Verizon Plan Unlimited

I use to update every year but the updates didn’t seem worth it. Believe they did this with 7/7P

What is your new plan/link to it?
 
Phew, my plan already includes 5G Unlimited and 5G broadband, but I still question the reach and functionality of the 5G service (sub 6GHZ) at the moment. Looking at VZ's coverage map, the main street through my downtown area had 5G mmWave for a couple of blocks and that is it.

I've been going back and forth on if I should pre-order. I have never pre-ordered before. I kind of want to see how these updated phones work before placing an order.
 
I just checked my plan using the Verizon app it looks like my current (Play More) unlimited plan includes 5G. I was concerned because my current plan includes Apple Music, which was dropped from the Play More unlimited plan recently announced. 😥
