Happened to me last year. My payment was pending till shipment. Then when the went to ship, they charged a different amount than the pending amount ($0.03) which caused my CC to decline it. Ended up taking an extra week to receive my phone after getting the payment resolved. Problem too was, when I called they kept telling me “everything is fine on our end”. Ended up calling and escalating till I got a rep who understood what my issue was, could actually see it, then could fix it.
Just great! I'm going to the store. I burned nearly an hour with their chat system, each "agent" was worse than the last! Thought I could save the time but I guess not.

Got my shipping email from Verizon this morning. FEDEX delivery coming from Indianapolis. Label created, should populate soon- phew!
 
I'm switching from t-mobile to verizon. Paid off my 12 and trading it in for 1000$ towards a 13 pro max 256gb graphite. T-mobile service in my area has gotten god awful in the last year or so. Their "5G" is very frustrating. Half the time when making calls it drops to "4G" and with 5 bars of 5G it maybe grabs 20-30mbps. And the data leaks have also weighed my decision in switching to VZ. I ordered yesterday from my local VZ store and it says will ship by 10/1 so I'll be tracking it once it ships. Looking forward to the big battery life and 120hz display.

My order has also now flipped from expected 9/24 arrival to "delivery date will be updated soon." Not fully giving up hope for Friday yet, but if it doesn't ship by tonight, might just cancel it and try my luck with Apple Store pickup on launch day

Remember. These phones are shipping UPS Next Day Air. I'd wait until Thursday before cancelling. We go through this each and every year on this forum. 99% of those who got the confirmation email for Friday delivery will get it Friday. Logistics work
 
My order has also now flipped from expected 9/24 arrival to "delivery date will be updated soon." Not fully giving up hope for Friday yet, but if it doesn't ship by tonight, might just cancel it and try my luck with Apple Store pickup on launch day
My order switched from 09/24 to delivery date will be updated soon yesterday and I received shipping info early this morning.
 
In a nutshell, Verizon could not have f'd up my order any more if they had tried.

After attempting to fix this with three reps on chat this morning, I went into the store. (one more hour of my life gone)

After explaining again to the rep in the store, we tried again and again to "change the payment method". All I can guess is that my Verizon dollars had not been applied to the order, despite me seeing the rep hit that button and complete the sale last week.

Nothing any of us did were able to get that working. All I had to do was pay them since they felt they were unpaid due to a glitch in their system. But nope, can't do it.

The rep at the store ended up juggling two different phone calls to see how to get around this. She mentions worst case scenario, let's cancel the order and start again. I say I'd rather figure out how to pay the louse $50 rather than have my phone date pushed out.

Guess what? Idiot on the phone decided to cancel the entire order. Phone, ipad, gone!

So I either go in (AGAIN) on Friday and hope to get a phone in hand, or order everything online again and hope it works.

I got a good trade in and other discounts but geez should I just go to Apple at this point? They are sooo busy though!

Sorry about your experience, mine last week is similar and its sad that their customer service is so bad. My account got flagged for fraud and I was on the phone for hours with multiple supervisors until it finally got resolved, rather easily. Even worse is all the people wouldn't give me any answers as to what the issue was even though I'm the account holder and verified on the phone.
 
This morning my delivery said Friday. I just received an email stating my phone is out for delivery and will be delivered today 1:30-4:30. Weird, that’s never happened and I’m not expecting it today. Pretty cool if it did, but I’m thinking they will hold it and wait until Friday to deliver it.

There are usually a handful that slip through each year. You could get lucky. 😆

It is just awful! I just got transferred to a supervisor who is insisting that I placed an order yesterday. She doesn't get that I placed it last Friday and the STATUS was changed yesterday because they were preparing it for shipment and couldn't figure out the payment. Where on earth do they find these people?

The shipping label for mine was created yesterday and my device was picked up this morning. Looks like it is ”overnight” but will likely be held until 24th delivery.

Does changing to UPS Store pickup guarantee they'll have it early in the day? Would love to pick it up before work

If you go to Apple and have then activate through Verizon, you can still do the trade-in through Verizon and get the promo. Details are listed on the Apple’s iPhone 13 page.

The one we ordered for my fiancee is supposed to be here on Oct 1. The charge has been released and back. Is that a sign its about to charge again and ship?

Had to cancel mine in past with pmt problems. And for the silliest reasons. Yep it sucks. Take a breath. Cancel this. Realize there’s plenty in stock on launch day. Go grab one.

My problem order was iPad Pro last time. Everything looked fine til crunch time and couldn’t bill the cc for some reason (billing addresses not matching). Got an email from Verizon saying they were sorry I cancelled the order. Lol. I talked to Verizon. Lady even said I have a new order she’d input. Top of the queue. Get it launch day. No order ever popped up from that. I ended up just picking one up from apple which was a better deal anyways.

Moral of story is. If there’s a problem with the order it’s not likely to be fixed. Cancel it.

Thanks! It seemed that there were better trade-ins through Verizon, but I think they are just throwing numbers around depending on what you order 🤷‍♀️
