No you can’t take it to the store. I tried. But if you call them they’ll send you another return kit. Should take just a couple days.Got my phone today but no return kit. I have too, but apparently they changed it. I tried twice and was told both times I had to mail them since I ordered online. Maybe they only do it if you buy in-store now?Yes can in store have done it many time...
Yeah I was told they could by phone support, so much so phone support asked that I do it that way. I went to a corporate store and they refused to accept it.No you can’t take it to the store. I tried. But if you call them they’ll send you another return kit. Should take just a couple days.
Also I ordered 3 phones for launch day, and one return kit arrived 2 days before the phones, while the other 2 were actually packaged with the phones. It was kinda weird.
Yep I had the same worry. Literally the only thing they gave me was some generic label where I filled in my own address. I sure hope they know those phones are mine!Yeah I was told they could by phone support, so much so phone support asked that I do it that way. With that said, I had no paperwork to add into the shipping box back. How does Verizon know/scan in that this is the phone we returned. Isn't it standard to send something like that so everything is on the up and up?
Lucky! I was never able to change my payment method. Verizon sent me multiple texts and emails and they all failed. My account is still a royal mess from that fiasco! So, I had originally put in a preorder for the TB Pro Max in Sierra Blue on the VZW site on 9/20, doing 24 device installment plan. Supposed to deliver 10/1. 9/29 I get an email saying there was an issue with my payment, with a link to update payment method. I go to the link, they're now trying to charge full price for the phone.
After 2 hours on hold, being transferred from one end to the other, they tell me they had a system issue, which is why it was trying to charge me full price. The only way to fix would be to cancel the order, and do a new order (which now had a promise date of 10/22).
Angry, but wanting the phone, I went through with it. They said they were putting in a request to jump the line, since it was a system issue with the payment update.
Just checked and my ship date moved from 10/22 to 10/3. We'll see what happens, but I'll be a happy camper if that goes through!
Why am I not surprised? Did they at least give you a $20 bill credit for the inconvenience? I didn't get one.Lucky! I was never able to change my payment method. Verizon sent me multiple texts and emails and they all failed. My account is still a royal mess from that fiasco!
My iPhone 13 Pro Max 512GB Graphite was delivered late last night (shipped by FedEx) in an unmarked car at 9 PM PDT.
I did not receive any further update after that text message last week, including tracking information (it didn’t show up in my FedEx account either). I checked the Verizon website and my order still shows as “on hold” and I have not been charged (full retail) for the iPhone yet. The previous pending charges have disappeared.
I will be calling Verizon later today.
My new iPhone came with a SIM card installed, transfer and activation was smooth.
I received a trade in kit with the new iPhone, but for those who did not you can either call Verizon customer support and tell the automated system "trade in" when it asks why you are calling and it will then give you options, one of them is to send a trade in kit to you (if you already have a trade in set up) or you can go to the trade in page on the website and you should see "I lost my prepaid shipping box. Can you send another one?" or "What's the status of my current trade-in?" click that then, "view status" of your trade in and finally "Order trade-in materials".

Verizon's internal systems are a mess.
I lost count as well. It all started when the Verizon website decided I wanted the $1,000 over 24/mo trade in deal instead of my preferred method, instant credit ($655) applied to retail price (cart reloaded after I declined Verizon device protection). They did, but I kind of went into a rant over how much money I lost by dealing with them instead of actually doing work. They were supposed to waive the activation fees as well but that hasn't happened yet. I lost count of how many people I talked to in the first week alone, but I went to the store 4 times in 10 days, plus phone calls. My phone didn't even activate until I went back again - apparently my sale on launch day went through as a pre-order so everything I walked out with was still sitting on inventory and unable to be activated! They cancelled my original pre-order without my permission and it went downhill from there. I am still waiting for a random ipad to come off my account.![]()

So I had to cancel my initial order. Two orders later, I received my iPhone, but according to the Verizon representative I spoke to today. "Your order is still processing. You will receive your device when we are ready!" He refused to listen ("I do this for a living!") I received my new iPhone. I was just curious as to how since I do not have a charge on my American Express or Verizon account. I do not want them accusing me of something nefarious.
Oh well.
Rory, the guy I linked at the bottom of my initial reply, received his iPhone on Tuesday. It's Saturday, and he is unable to activate his iPhone 13 Pro Max again. Verizon initially activated it, then deactivated it. Rinse and repeat. So now he has a technical ticket waiting for review. Until then, his iPhone is a glorified iPod in the US, anyway (unless he decides to switch carriers).
Apparently, he was able to get it unlocked yesterday. I don't know how he does it because every time I ask, I'm told unless I paid for it in full in cash (not card) or I am in the military, it is not going to happen.
Wow!I suspect FedEx has lost my iPhone 13 Pro somewhere in Tennessee. It's several days overdue and the tracking status hasn't changed since arriving in the state.
FedEx is absolutely clueless, though at least there's minimal waiting on hold when you call. You almost immediately get a live rep, who will make promises ("Don't worry, it's going to be delivered tonight. Can I help you with anything else?") to get you off the phone quickly (hence the minimal wait time for a rep).
Right now Verizon is investigating it with their delivery team and they are waiting for FedEx to declare it "lost." But they don't know how long that'll take, or how long it'll take to ship a replacement.
Yes. Activation was almost immediate. Which is surprising considering I have not been charged for the device!I went to Verizon directly to place my pre-order. Thought it would be a smoother process. Hah!
I feel like each time I've worked with them, my trade-in value increase, yet so did my bill.
Were you able to activate your phone? I couldn't activate mine and it turned out none of my charges went through on launch day. Same with pre-order day. Funny thing is they realized after launch day that it was missing from inventory but they couldn't figure out where it went till I walked back in Monday. Then I had to go back home for the boxes to get them rescanned.
I was calling my phone a tiny iPad lol!
Wow!

I don't go in-store(s) unless absolutely necessary as 99.99% of the time the store employees have to call customer support and wait on hold with the rest of us, anyway. I'd rather just save time and call them directly.
If I remember correctly, you upgraded from an iPhone 12 mini to the iPhone 13 mini? Smart move!
I was going to upgrade the entire family (early) again this year, as they typically upgrade every 2-5 years, but they assured me they'd rather wait for whatever Apple releases next. No, but seriously, I wanted to upgrade them all to the iPhone 13 solely for the improved modem and power efficiency. Especially while connected to 5G. They turned 5G off quickly. So it's not a factor now.
Next year!
Yes, I was surprised the new iPhone came with a physical SIM. I heard Apple was not including them this year.Amazing yours activated! I had turned off Find My prior to the setup even.
I came from a 2016 SE. I'm really glad I waited once I heard rumors of a 13 Mini
To continue my saga, I have an iPad on the account that I never even ordered. The store apparently did it for me as a placeholder before launch day. It's stuck there waiting for me to accept terms & conditions. No one else can see it unless I give them the order number. I was to take action on it by October 1, and they told me if I did nothing (because there is no place for me to decline the T&C), it would fall off the account. Here it is October 3 and it's still there. I'm trying to be patient until tomorrow.
Ironically even though no one else can see this mysterious iPad, my BILL sure can see it! They are telling me it may be months before my bill is correct.
I am still learning my way around the "no home button". It's only been a week. I'm doing ok for the most part but there is still a little cursing 😂Yes, I was surprised the new iPhone came with a physical SIM. I heard Apple was not including them this year.
A 2016 SE? What an upgrade! I don't miss the home button at all.
Your local Verizon store added an iPad to your account without your permission? I...
Ah, yes, the ol' "Your order is on hold until you take action." we know each other well.
No way to cancel it either? Wow!
