I ordered 2 about 10 minutes apart. The second one has shipped but the first has not.
 
So I just called FedEx because my package is in the nearest FedEx center by my house. They told me they would've delivered it within the next two days, but the problem is AT&T and Verizon have a block on all shippers (UPS, FedEx) from them shipping it to you early, or allowing you to pick it up. Sucks!
 
Well my shipping status changed...kind of it seems they added stuff to the history after it had happened lol

Are you 100% on that? When the Samsung Stratosphere came out, it was the first to use microSIM. There was a release date and if one attempted to activate the microSIM prior to release date, Verizon's system threw an error saying the sim was not recognized. Apparently they didn't update the database until launch.

I think that is more the exception than the norm. I am 97% sure anyone getting the phone earlier will be able to activate it. My i4 arrived 4 days early and I activated without issue. There have been people that have activated prototypes before as well. Besides, it might be in Verizons best interest to stagger if at all possible.

They need to just start mailing them out already. Especially if they are at a warehouse that is near the destination. Get it moving so people like me that aren't supposed to get one until Oct 5th may be able to get theirs a little earlier! Haha

Verizon places a requirement on the package that one delivery attempt must be made to the address on the package before it can be held for pickup.

i'm sorry, I read it wrong - thought it said couldn't pick it up AFTER the first attempt (as in, had to try twice first). My bad. :eek:
 
why wouldn't you be able to?

I honestly don't know why but I remember ordering something awhile back and wanted to pick up at their facility and they told me they couldn't hold anything until the first failed attempt of delivery. That was UPS too btw, FedEx might actually be different, you would have to double check with them.
 
I pre-ordered 2 phones directly from Verizon, one for me and one for my wife. I ordered mine first and haven't gotten any response yet, the one for my wife is shipping. She's an existing Verizon customer, and I'm switching from AT&T, so I'm guessing that's why my order is taking longer to process. It still shows 9/21 so I'm not worried yet. I may give them a call if I don't see any updates by Wednesday afternoon.
 
ordered at 3:00 EST (right when available) and still not seeing a confirmation email or shipping or ANYTHING!!! but it said right after I ordered that it would be here on 9-21, IM STARTING TO QUESTION THIS
